Best Starting QBs of 2017: Cam Newton's Spot In The Top 3

:...he at the very least cut down on the bad decisions in 2016."
Then two  paragraphs later
:-Decision making more random than earlier in his career...":
Both of those can't be true, what can be true is this guy likes really big arms and really doesn't like Ryan.
Sorry, it's just absurd to put Tanneyhill, Bradford, Prescott, Palmer [at this stage of his career], and  Mariota, ahead of Ryan. You want to put all the super bowl winning QBs ahead of him, fine.
And Cam doesn't deserve to be 3rd over, Big Ben, Brady, Wilson and Brees.  He's obviously a big Cam fan, but no.

I have to agree with your all points even though you are a Falcon fan.

You'd have to be one stupid motherfuger if you honestly think Matt Ryan is better than Cam in any way.

Ryan is a much better passer, it's not even close. Last two years, on very long passes- those that travel 40+ yards from the LOS, Ryan has a better QB rating than Cam. For their careers, on very long passes-40+ yards from LOS, Cam and Ryan have nearly equal QB ratings.

You want to say the rest of Cam's game makes up for that, you can make the argument, you can't claim Cam is a better passer.

I'm not being a homer here when I say I'd take Cam over Ryan. While Matt is a great precision passer, he folds like bitch when the pressure is on.

All that prolific offense talk is a crap with not scoring once in the 4th quarter and in overtime of the Superbowl.

By the 4th quarter both starting tackles were out and the center was playing with a broken leg.

I think both Ryan and Cam are top 10 QBs, but neither are top 5 QBs. I, of course, would put Ryan at 7-8 and Cam at 8-9.  Folks here would reverse that, understandably enough.

And, if Brick wall had ranked Cam and Ryan bottom half of the top ten, wouldn't have had a problem, but Cam at 3 and Ryan at 15 is just silly.

The guy making the list claimed Ryan's arm was weakening, when Ryan threw for 9.3 YPA [best in 15 years] AND he rated Ryan a better deep ball passer than Cam this year. Tell me how that makes sense.

Hah.  Ryan deserves to be that low. He's a middle of the pack QB. Cam deserves to be that high.  Cam is our offense. Ryan could be replaced by a dozjust-laugh.jpgen or more QBs with the system and tools he had last year and they would have won that Super Bowl.

To think that Cam is the number 3 rated passer in the league is silly. And to think Luck is number 2 is worse.

Old age is 78, not 38. Seriously, who wrote this?  Some kid who just got his drivers licence?

I did like seeing Cam at #3 though.

Hey, I bet Joe Namath can still throw the ball around on Thanksgiving.

Was the guy that wrote this a Panthers fan? That would explain a lot.. Matt Ryan is a bra wearing sissy, but 15th best qb, he is not. That's just absurd

Surprisingly, he was an advocate for Matt Ryan actually being good in prior years when everyone thought he was trash.

He's a Browns fan if that says anything.

I can't take anyone or anything serious that has Tom #4.

To be fair he's probably watched more film than anyone on this board. His thing is that Tom Brady is still amazing, but he's getting old and his arm isn't as strong, which I can understand.
