Article about some redskins corner

What does the Redskins defense look like I don't pay them any mind

Last year they weren't good but unfortunately they were better than us. The problem shouldn't have been  the corners actually as Breeland and Norman have the talent but the fact is that they didn't play together as a unit and often looked confused. The team dumped Fewell as secondary coach and replaced him with Torian Gray and brought in Greg Manusky as DC. Gruden hopes that will translate to better consistency. It will be interesting to see if that is the case or if Norman will resort back to his freelancing days which is why he sat the bench for so long here. Norman is not a shutdown corner and never will be. He needs to work in a system as part of the team not a lone ranger on an island. His talk about being a warrior makes good headlines but I would be concerned that he is trying to make everything about him rather than about the team which has always been his Achilles heel.

Buh buh buh  PFF sez Washington's DB's sans Norman were crappier than ours with their starting safety being #2 in the league with missed tackles

If you want any credibility at all, you can't trash PFF when you don't like the stats and quote them when they do. They either suck or they don't. You can't have it both ways.

What does that mean? You agree you used double speak or is that another snarky comment? Commonly when you accept a concession it means the other person made the concession not you. I have been consistent throughout. You as I clearly pointed out have not been.

Ive stopped taking you serious when you said Washington's D is better than Carolina's.

Once again I said their secondary had better talent and by the numbers I proved it. You tried to pull in run stats and sacks in a vain attempt to find something to be right about. You should instead have focused on why he played poorly because as I pointed out it wasn't his ability so much as the system and the.lack of leadership like he had here with the coaches and players like Thomas Davis reigning him in. Since you clearly don't or are unable to discuss this in an adult fashion I will withdraw. Perhaps we can discuss other issues in the future if you can change your dialogue to a discussion of the facts instead of a mismash of convoluted logic and snarky comments.

You haven't really proven anything though. Washington's secondary doesn't have better talent (were only ONE ranking above our extremely young and inexperienced secondary) and playing in a poo system like Washington's negatively impacted his stats, the same would be said if you swapped Norman with any of Carolina's All Pro guys. Norman was never exposed and in fact ranked pretty solidly as a defender this season.

Your argument hinges on the fact that Josh Norman didn't elevate Washington's D to anything impressive, but as previously stated no other lone defender would've elevated that squad to jack poo.

You have some ridiculous vendetta against Norman and would do ANYTHING for your "told you so" moment. Sadly it'll never happen.

The article you'e linked shows the Redskins' secondary rated above Carolina's.

Yeah, your assertion that Norman was surrounded by better talent is an absolute farce.

If the talent was sooo much better (according to some) one would think they'd be..you know.. not one fuging spot above the youngest secondary in the league.

But yeah, Norman was put in a better place to succeed than Bradberry and its not even close...

I'm not saying Redskins were good, just that our team was terrible, and worse than a bad Redskins team. Without James in the lineup, we allowed a historic amount of yards to the Falcons. No other team did that. I'd say that game showed us what our supporting cast was like. It was really really bad. And Bradberry, as a rookie, was the difference in us getting better.
