You're wrong, man, the Panthers D ranked solidly middle of the pack and Bradberry has Luke Friggin Keuchly as the QB of his Defense led by other all pros, again, name me a Redskins defender worth a poo.

Josh wasn't exposed, 3 ints 19 PDs, 2 FF (one of those being a game winner) are not "Exposed" stats.

This is why discussion here is so difficult. Folks like you make statements with no foundation. The Panthers ranked 29th in pass defense. How is that middle of the pack. Kuechly missed six games and Bradbury's pass defense improved during that stretch. The only thing exposed is your knowledge or lack thereof on your own team let alone Washington.....

Slow down there. Ranking 29th in Pass Defense =/= doesn't mean we had one of the worst overall defenses in football. We also led the league in sacks top 10 in rush defense, 15th in points...

And you actually strengthen my argument that our defense was considerably better than Washington's with that Luke quote (where the Panthers defensive stats nearly ranked top 10 overall over that 6 game stretch.

Tldr

Washington's defense was bad on ALL levels.

Panthers defense was bad on ONE level.

Looked at both your posts, they didn't improve so I will pick this one. Cherrypicking a stat or six game period that was decent hardly justifies that we were middle of the pack. First of all this discussion was about cornerbacks not defensive ends so your run defense and sack stats means little. Newsflash. We were top 10 in rush defense because teams didn't have to run on us when they could pick up chunks in passing the ball. We were 26th in number of rushing attempts by the opponent meaning 25 teams had the opponent rush more times than we did.  And we were second in sacks for the same reason. Teams passed all the time on us giving us many more times to sack them.  We had the 6th most passes thrown against us. We were second in sacks behind Arizona- 47   to their 48. But they had 547 attempts against them versus our 612. So we had a sack for every 13 attempts. Arizona had a sack every 11 attempts. Even Buffalo which ranked 9th in sacks with 39 had the same one sack for every 13 passes attempted as we did. Teams completed passes almost 70% of the time which also ranks us 29th. We were tied for 22nd with 4 other teams in giving up 7.5 yards per pass play.

We were 21st in yards surrendered in total defense. And in points surrendered we were 26th not 15th. That was offense not defense that was 15th. With all the offense and Shula bashing I can understand why you might think the defense was better than the offense but it was the other way around.

TL,DR Wrong we are one of the worse defenses in the league no matter how you look at it.

My argument is that Josh Norman played on a poo defense which would negatively impact any player. Bradberry while surrounded by better talent barely outranked him.. You went off on a tangent about Norman being exposed which is absolute horseshit.

BTW Shula sucks and has always sucked which is why he has the burden to prove the opposite this year.

But you are wrong. In most passing categories Washington was as good or better than us. So a rookie in the league playing with the 22nd ranked defense and 29th ranked passing defense was ranked higher than the highest paid corner in the league who played with a team who gave up fewer points per game, gave up fewer passing yards, and even gave up fewer passing yards per attempt. The only reason their total defense was ranked lower than us at 28 was due to giving up more rushing yards which had little to do with Norman. So using stats as the talent comparison you would actually say Washington had the better pass defense not us. So their talent surrounding him was better not worse than ours. The only horseshit here is what you spew out that you call logic.

Panthers55, Washington's 2016 defensive talent is not better than Carolina's 2016 talent. No shiny PFF stat will prove otherwise.

I know that there was no way he was getting that huuuuge contract here, and I'm glad he's getting paid. But I still wish we could have kept his crazy a$$. Could you imagine him AND Bradberry on the same field!

If josh was still here during that draft, we wouldnt of taken bradberry

Yeah because you know the truth and all the facts just get in the way.  I bet the NFL website  and all those stats are just fake news. LOL.
