What will Jake have to do...

It will probably be a typical performance where Jake doesn't poo himself but he doesn't impress and probably throws a pick. Something similar to the past 2 weeks. Which is bvllshit because all it does is slow down Matt Moore's inevitable greatness.

now that's funny; Matt Moore's inevitable greatness...wow

Coaches see what none of us do because they have game film and know what was supposed to happen as well as what did happen.. For example they know on the second interception it was Smitty who caused it not Jake. They see that Moose allowed the first one by not contesting the pass. They also see that Jake threw a touchdown that was called back due to questionable offensive pass interference on Moose. So the tally they keep for this pass game is that Jake threw 2 TDs and no interceptions which were his fault. They have game film and know what was called and who should have done what rather than what we have which is merely television coverage of what happened.

So they see that he has improved significantly since the Eagles game. And that is why they have faith in him to lead the team. What we think we see is totally irrelevant at this point.

So what will it take to bench him? A meltdown like against the Eagles which is highly unlikely.

LOL Panthers55, are you kidding me with that garbage? I can't tell if that was sarcastic or not. Jake's "real" stats were 2 touchdowns and no picks? Are you kidding me?

Jake Delhomme has thrown 3 touchdowns to 15 turnovers in his past four games. The numbers speak for themselves. Very few quarterbacks in NFL HISTORY have had such a horrible ratio over four games.

No question he has had 2 awful games at Arizona and the Eagles. Since then he has played much better. And yes I was serious that his stat line should have been 2 TDS and 0 Ints against Dallas. At the very least Moose could have knocked the ball down.

the first int was not moose' fault.the ball was short, both players jumped but the ball was more inside and the defense got the ball.

Moose mistimed his jump and looked awful doing it. He didn't adjust to the ball which is why it was a little inside and he played it poorly. After that effort I wouldn't throw it up to him anymore. He looked like he has a 3 inch vertical leap at this point.

4 games, one of which was in the playoffs, months apart from the rest and during a different season.

Minus the first week (and the Arizona game - it isn't even part of this season), he's been pretty decent taking into account some of the reasons for the turnovers (such as Smith, etc.).

Jake wont be benched. The Carolina Panther organization is deeply entrenched in "good ole boy" politics. Which is a big reason the team isnt very marketable to the blue collar crowd of Charlotte (they root for other teams than the Panthers). Jerry Richardson and the FO have their mind set on Jake being the star and are willing to let the franchise go down in flames to see it be.

For the record, right now Jake is the worst starting QB in the league outside of Jamarcus Russell. He single handedly is making a mockery of the QB position in the NFL.

He would have to keep his composure. The thing I hate most about Jake is that he isn't good at rebounding from bad plays. The way he is right now, I fear he's going to have another meltdown anytime he throws a pick in the 1st quarter.

Im sorry, know this is not where the post was directed but under the same assumptions they must also know the guy has a noodle. All of the above mentioned passes except for the slant were under thrown, you can add the streak to smith, two streaks to moose in philly game with those. Think you maybe giving the staff more credit than they deserve. When the actual truth is the staff knows there is nothing better to offer, on the current roster.

Jake is not getting benched. Many of these games come from him each year. He had four last year, lets just pray he is getting his four out of the way early this year and will make a long run of servicableness...............:( to finish the year.

HERE HERE. Not so sure im down with including JR in this given his condition over the recent past, but the statements about the originazation as a whole are so on point. Second worst qb in the league was icing on the cake. That brings me to another point. How crappy is Russell to be worse than jake this season? Hey on the bright side atleast we dont have 68 mil invested in Jake.
