I have been meaning to watch that for years now and never have.  Not really sure why, it is only two seasons.  A two season show of their's I did like was Rome

Also, this is probably spoilery territory, but apparently it will be revealed (probably in the last episode) that Jon's real name is Jaehaerys Targaryen.

Like Deadwood, probably ahead of its time.  If Deadwood came out right now on HBO, I'm pretty sure it would be very popular and be a 5 season show at least.

But good news is they are moving forward on doing the Deadwood movie to tie it all up.

Opening scene I thought was great. White walkers with fugging giants...badass. And Bran is now an X-Man, ok cool. Sansa was annoying. Probably the weakest actor on the show. Maister montage was strange and out of place. Cerci dialogue was cheesy. A fugging Ed Sharan SINGING cameo? That entire scene was cringe worthy. Dragonstone looked cool for once. Weird how they didn't say anything walking through the castle. Nailed the landing though. 

Ugh. Last season had parts that were the first time I felt GOT was mortal...like just another TV show, and I think it was due to the abscene of Martin's writing. Hope this was just a one-off episode. This felt like a show trying to live up to its immense expectations rather than a great television show.
