I believe Bran already broke the spells when he crossed it while he was marked. Or weakened them at the very least. Now that the Children are gone, maybe the spells are too, as well.

Considering the way blood magic works, it could have been Jon's murder at the hands of his sworn brothers that broke the enchantments on the wall.

Also, maybe that witch that cursed Dany in season 1 is wrong and she can have kids? I suppose there's no reason to believe she is wrong but Tyrion bringing up the line of secession is a valid point. Who would take over for her?

I can accept the fast forward button storytelling.  I don't love it but I can accept they tell a story where a long period of time happens in a flash.

but the stuff like...Jon Snow gets attacked and taken below the ice....and survives! But now is doomed! But hold on Benjen magically appears out of nowhere to save him.  Then Benjen last 2 seconds on his own despite plowing through them is bullpoo.  

I can't stand the overplay of fake outs and saves shows do.  

I don't know how it ends....but I do think we bitch about Bran at the end.

the Benjen thing makes sense if Bran (3ER) sent him as Benjen has said in the past that the 3ER sent him 

but I agree with you about the fakeouts and stuff just feels unnecessary

Arya decided to throw all reason out and just hate her sister like a terminator. 

Night "Aaron Rodgers" King. Also, why the hell didn't he throw a spear at the dragon that was carrying his enemies away? It was stationary, it was an easy target, but nah, aim for the one flying and twice as far away.

Lazy writing where people were saved at the last minute. That poo happened 4 times this episode.

• Thoros saved by sir Friendzone, although he eventually died.
• Tormund saved by the hound when he was about to be taken into the ice. 
• Dany swooping in last minute with her dragons to rescue Snow team 6
• Benjen coming out of nowhere to save Jon, telling him there's no time to explain, then dying.

I can accept the theory about Bran warging to tell Benjen, but to me it seems like the showrunners got an idea in their head about what would look cool and built the episode around that instead of a strong narrative with good story points. It all seemed rushed and sloppy to me. 

In seasons past on this show, if you did something stupid or naive, you were punished for it. Now the main characters all have so much damn plot armor that no matter what situation they are thrown into, they come out unscathed and all's well. Also, the plan to go north of the wall to capture a zombie was dumb as poo to begin with, I pray to jeebus that GRRM doesn't do anything that stupid and convoluted in the books. 

This season is really hurting from the shortened schedule, specifically the last 3 episodes. It's a damn shame.

A better dragon scene would have been NK aiming and throwing his spear at Drogon and crew...and Viserion flys in front of the spear.
