True, but the dothraki did come over a pretty steep hill, so there could be a significant incline in the lake.  But I imagine they did that for effect.  Oh no, sir Jaime is floating away.  

 

More importantly, I wonder who it was that saved him.  Most likely the unfortunately named Dickon who is likely now dust in the wind.  Could also be Bronn I guess.

Pretty sure it was Bronn, but as to Jamie and the depth, it was made to look like Bran falling after Jamie pushed him out of the window.

Interesting stuff. Especially since it seems there won't be the "happy ending" most fans are going to want, but Martin doesn't.  The only thing I wouldn't understand, how to flesh out Jon flipping from the WW are dangerous, to "siding" with them in ways, taking out Dany, and wrapping everything up in what, 10 more episodes total? 

Also doesn't even get into some of the Azor Ahai stuff that doesn't really fit in that well to me, unless the prophecies were just misinterpreted. If Jon is AA, that is.
