I was invited to a premier party with a themed dinner, and turned it down. It turned out that they didn't have any lemon cakes and not a single onion (or anything else) boiled in butter.

I really just didn't want to spoil everyone's fun though, because I'm a nice guy like that. They just assumed I wasn't as nerdy as they are, like everyone does.

I would have turned that down too... Who knows the motivations behind the theme?... You could have heard The Rains of Castamere come out the speakers and then all hell could've broken loose.

It won't matter though... Official numbers will still be soaring all season.

Part of me thinks this and previous leaks are just HBO intentionally encouraging piracy, etc.

I bet if you looked at their subscriber numbers the past 5 years, they'd be soaring in spite of having the #1 pirated show for that span. They have cornered the market in paid subscription channels, I'd guess.
