Meh.

Filler, Plot Set Ups, Slight Action ... repeat.

This season is doing nothing for me.

I'm with you...  they focus crazy amount of time on talking and skip thru battle scenes in minutes.  There were 3 battles now and all 3 battles were covered in 6 minutes....

And I'm not one of those people people complain about saying, "All you guys wants is tits and gore." No, I like a good drama. The Knick, for example is one of my favorite shows. Fargo IS my favorite show. But when you have just seven episodes, you need to make sure you're presenting amazing television. Nothing has been amazing this season. Well, Euron has. But the rest is just simple build up to episode 6 and 7. You can do both as a showrunner. Build the story, and present amazing drama.

Solid episode. It's really setting up for some poo to go down for real. I was expecting Olenna to start choking out like Joffrey, but damn she was ice cold with those last few lines.

Great meeting between Jon and Dany, went about as you would expect at first. Jon had the best line of the episode, "I don't", after Dany says everyone enjoys doing what they're best at.

Also, is Jon revealing that he was dead/zombie/back to life Jon going to be what makes Dany fully "trust" him...they spent a couple of scenes dealing with that cut-short line from Davos. Couple that with Mel being in the episode, and there's something coming there.

And right as that plays out, Bran "needing to talk to" Jon has to be about his parentage will surely come up.  Dany and Jon realize they're siblings (after they've probably already started banging), and hello new Cersei and Jaime with some issues to work out.

I haven't read the books, but based on mostly everything I've read ....here (the huddle wins again...  :) They have definitely sped up the timeline and brought a focus to the storylines.
