If Shep's floor is a Philly/Cotch type receiver and Samuel's floor is Ginn, we are in fantastic shape cause their ceilings seem very high.

Cotchery was a solid #2 WR and logged 1,100 yds in one season and 10 TDs in another. If shepard can do anything close to that, this might be the best FA signing the team has ever made. I think he is more likely a Philly replacement and a #3 WR.

Put Kelvin Benjamin and R. Sheppard on the outside. Samuel in the slot. Charles johnson and Funch as 4th and 5th WR. Bersin needs to go imo

I agree Bersin needs to go he has been here how many yrs and nothing really to talk about..lets let others have a shot in his place to see if they can produce a spark..they can always go back and get him no one else is going to sign him..

I won't go as far to say that Shepard will be our WR2. He'll have decent production but the real gain is morale and spirit on the offensive side of the ball. We are familiar with how Cam's mood can affect the offense, so a guy like Shepard who is already making Cam excited can only make everyone else better.

KB hate is still high. How many other WRs with close to 2000 yards and 16 TDs in their first two years get labelled such a disappointment and get calls to move to TE? Historically, he's had a great first two years as a WR. SMH, I am still a big KB fan and IMHO, he's still our best WR.

Not like he dropped many passes either.

Coming from an ACL injury, you'd have to expect a rough start. I think Kelvin Benjamin gets back healthy and ready to dominate next year, and that's a scary thing with guys like Shep and Samuel as other legitimate WRs.

Funchess as well. I feel like he'll click soon and stand out. Just needs to find that confidence.

Crazy stuff.

What is the Panther record with KB starting vs when he was injured?  This is a team sport.  Glad his stats were good when the team was struggling.  Take KB out of the equation and we win 15 games with Ginn as our #1.

Let me explain this- Cam spread the ball around with KB out.  When KB was in, he forced it into KB a lot...KB is the team's #1 WR--and we lose when he plays?  Is that blaming him or measuring his impact on the offense?  I don't care if he catches an average of 65 yards per game for 2 seasons (1000 yard seasons) when the others disappear.

Why am I down on KB?  Instead of working during the off season and entering OTAs in shape, he can't get better because he is catching up.  Remember Jerry Rice and his offseason program?  He improved every year until he aged out.   So you do not get any better if you are catching up when the competition is getting better.

Did any of you KB supporters every play football?  How is that slow, fat turd going to do anything more than get back to where he was?  I would move his fat ass to TE and pay him on his next deal as a backup TE.  This aint Madden.

So Cam needs to adjust too.

I'm a KB supporter because he's a fuging Panther. Are you not a supporter of our players?

LOL, really? How many turnovers did our defense have with and without KB? In 2016, we forced 27 turnovers. In 2015, we forced 39 turnovers. In 2014, we forced 26. Damn it KB, should have forced more turnovers. Heck, we had 29 turnovers in 2016, 19 in 2015 and 23 in 2014. I wonder which turnover margin would indicate a successful season, +20, +3 or -2. Let me think.

How healthy was our OL with and without KB? When KB had the same healthy OL (minus Oher) as in 2015, what was his record? Hint, in 2014, when we had 4 of the 5 2015 OL, KB went 5-1. Amazingly enough, the run at the end of 2014 with the OL solidified seemed to indicate the solid 2015 season.

If you really think that KB healthy in 2015 would have made our record worse, you aren't paying attention. Please do tell me, who was our best WR against the vaunted Bronco defense in 2016? I'll give you a hint, it was KB in his first game back after the ACL with 6-91 and 1 TD, helping us to a 17-7 lead. Do you think that KB in the Super Bowl would have given us a little bit more offense? I do. Might have been nice to have KB trying to catch the ball instead of Cotchery.

So you use the defense to support his value to our team?  I tell you what--while he is catching up in practice in an attempt to drop 20 lbs to regain his playing weight while others are working on the finer points of their games, ask yourself "how good could he be if he worked during the offseason?"  The defensive stats will not answer that one for you.  He is not improving--he is maintaining.  That is cheating the team if you consider how much he makes and will make.
