I remember the days when Jeff Clayton of Antiseen worked at Repo. There were two back then. One on South Blvd and the other on ... I forget. East Blvd?

If you vinylheads ever want to flip your ish, come up here and spend a weekend shopping. I made a list the other day. There are around 20 record shops. Sure, some are terrible ... but the sheer madness of trying to keep up with that drives me insane. Luckily, I've narrowed it down to three that I really love so that helps a ton.

I got into collecting vinyl just before I moved from BK. Rough Trade is pretty nice. I went there because a band I really like played a concert there and if you preordered their album, you got a free ticket. But NY in general, there are a shitton of record stores. But Williamsburg has a pretty high record store density.

I asked some of my audiophile friends for must have vinyl.

Let it Bleed seems to some up a bunch.

Never been a big Stones fan but this album is a must have. Listening now.

Dire Straits "Brother in Arms" is apparently one of the best recorded vinyl, a lot of people use it to test/config their setups.

Anyone get anything sweet for Christmas?

I went to Manifest and found a nice stack lately and this dude on facebook I've bought from before (think he hits up estate sales) is about to get a nice purchase from me.    I was going to go into a shop in Matthews but he's been closed all weekend (closes at 4pm so I have to go on weekends unfortunately).
