ESPN has 10 QB's above Cam for this season.

11. Carolina Panthers

There are so many questions around Cam Newton right now, not least of which is his timetable for recovery from offseason shoulder surgery. One season after he rampaged his way to a Super Bowl and a league MVP award, Newton saw his completion percentage dip to a Mark Sanchez-ian 52.9. The worst season of Newton's career coincided with fresh concerns about his ability to protect himself -- and the ability of his team and the officials to protect him -- on the field. The shoulder surgery this offseason kept those concerns front of mind.

Carolina's backup situation is better than those of the other teams in this tier, given that Derek Anderson seems to know how to keep the ship afloat when Newton can't play. But the Panthers sit behind Indy and Seattle in our rankings because the health concerns with Luck and Wilson are projected, while Newton's are current.

1. Pats

2. Rodgers

3. Matt Ryan

4. Matt Stafford

5. Big Ben

6. Drew Brees

7. Rivers

8. Eli

9. Luck

10. RW

Gotta write about something....so pull things out arz to get clicks. If most of the guys ahead of him had the same Oline and WR Corp Cam did, they would have shat the bed too.

Ryan, Stafford, Luck?  Ummmmm... NO, lol.

RW and Rivers?  Debatable.

Brady, Rodgers, BB, Brees, and Eli?  Probably.

Lotta clicks for whiny butthurt panther fan bitches.

I would have him around 9-10. Ryan went to the Super Bowl last year and was pretty damn good, so currently he is the better QB, title is THIS season projections.

For ESPN this is pretty accurate. Why the hell would they rank him higher because he had a bad shoulder but supposedly would have done better if not? Rankings have little to do with subjective fanboy bullshit just like the other QBs.

What do 7 of those 10 have on common? Lost their last head-to-head with Cam.

The only QB's I have a real issue being rated higher are Luck and Stafford.  Neither have accomplished anything.

Wilson, Rivers, Ben (health reasons), Ryan and Eli are debatable IMO.

Brady, Rodgers and Brees are reasonable.

Cam should be 9th at worst.  I'd personally put him at 8.

Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Ryan, Rothlisberger, Eli, Wilson, Cam, Rivers, Stafford and Luck.

Eh doesn't really move the needle of importance for me. He had a bad year. Most media won't give Cam the benefit of the doubt when it comes to injuries, oline and lack of weapons. That should be obvious by now. They will give Luck, Eli and Rivers all the excuses in the world but would never dream about doing that for Cam.

Everyone is saying that Cam will never get back to the 2015 form. To that I will steal a line from one of Cams interviews and of course a great song. "If you don't believe me, just watch."
