Yea, I know I have no idea what was going on in his head, but when you have three kids, you're 52 years old, you're in the middle of a tour, and life seems to be going your way, why end it?  I wonder if addiction started catching up to him again or one of the many side-effects caught up to him.  Still, thoughts go out to his family, the rest of the band, and his fans.

It's weird, I liked Audioslave way more than I did Sound Garden. Audioslave came in like a breath of fresh air and the whole entire first album from top to bottom was a masterpiece.

Samething with Velvet Revolver. I never really liked STP that much, but Weiland in VR I liked much better. Their first 2 albums were amazing.

I just don't understand why Chris did what he did. It shocked the hell out of me this morning. Hopefully it'll come out he had some sort of life threatening disease and he decided to go out on his own terms. Anyway, I think Dimebag just found his new lead from the other side. At least that's what I would like to think.

I was never a huge fan of Chris Cornell like some people but that was more about personal preference. I definitely appreciated the musical genius that he was though. Only person I can think of that matched him was Cobain and Grohl.

Back in the 90s I went to see GnR and Soundgarden at the Spectrum in Philly. Axel was too messed up to do his show so after Soundgarden played, they came back and played another hour or two until GnR could get on stage.

Mad respect for the guy, hate he ended it this way. RIP.

I just read a concert review stating In My Time of Dying was regularly infused in to their shows or covered completely if I understand correctly

Nothing is as insane as Coloniol Bruce Hampton dying during encore on stage last month.

Rock stars don't do the aging thing too well unfortunately.
