Evans is a huge Pats homer. Has no credibility whatsoever.

Saints, Pats, and Seahawks.

Oh, look, what a coincidence, those are the 3 teams the moron used to play for.

P.S. Evans is a former Auburn player.  Trust me when I tell you it takes elite levels of douche-baginess for me to utterly despise ANY Auburn vet.

I disagree that Cam does more with less when his defense is lightyears better than Lucks.

In the 5 years since Luck has been in the league, this is how the Carolina and Indy defenses have ranked by points surrendered in a season:

2012:  Carolina 18th, Indy 21st

2013: Carolina 2nd, Indy 9th

2014: Carolina 21st, Indy 19th

2015: Carolina 6th, Indy 25th

2016: Carolina 26th, Indy 22nd

In 4 of Luck's 5 seasons, the advantage you seem to think existed with the Carolina defense over the Indy defense just didn't exist.  2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 were pretty much washes when it came to any claimed "advantage" of the Carolina defense over Indy's (Carolina was higher ranked in two, Indy was higher ranked in two... and even when one was higher ranked, they were actually pretty close in their production).

Only in 1 season did the Carolina defense produce a significant advantage for the Carolina offense with their production compared to what Indy was able to do... the 2015 Super Bowl year.

Stop inventing myths to support your Cam-hate.  You might want to stick to the actual facts but I guess that wouldn't support your lifelong mission to minimize and disrespect Cam Newton.

I'm beginning to wonder if the whole Cecil Newton scandal was meant to try manipulate the Panthers into not drafting Newton to begin with.

Dude, if you understood SEC football and the Auburn/Alabama rivalry, the above wouldn't even cross your mind... lol.

Idk where people think we've had this amazing defense all the years cam been here. We had two years with top 10 defense 2013 and 2015 and made the playoffs. The other year 2014 we didn't. Cam did his part in all of those years to win the division 3 straight times and make the playoffs and we were the 1 and 2 seed out of those 3 seasons in the NFC

Yes, First Take brought it up "first", lol. We didn't have to make a thread on it though. It's time to get over Luck. It's time to get over having a sore butt anytime ANYTHING negative is said about Cam.

Yes, Cam's running gives him more total TDs. Stats other than that are the same. There's more to a QB than total TDs.

Luck has been injured too. I disagree that Cam does more with less when his defense is lightyears better than Lucks. Cam doesn't win all of our games by himself.

I'd take Cam over Luck. I'm not trying to start anything here. But the Luck bashing it silly. It's like when the board used to say Brady is only "good" because of the system he's in.

Yea but you can't discount the running td's either. And wins aren't a qb stat. I was talking about cam carrying his offense with far less to work with.  And I wasn't even luck bashing, I'd take him over all but the few qbs I listed heh. I think he's good, but nowhere near as good as the media makes him out to be.

Oh i hear you. I was more speculating than anything.

I do understand SEC football and it's rivalries. Hail from a Gamecock family, so I've paid attention to SEC football since I first got interested in the sport lol

2012 ... Panthers better by three spots.

2013 ... Panthers better by seven spots.

2014 ... Panthers worse by two spots.

2015 ... Panthers better by NINETEEN spots.

2016 ... Panthers worse by four spots.

Say "wash" all you want, my fact is fact. Cam has had better defense, including the year he went to the SB and was MVP ... which according to this thread is the measuring stick.

If I "hated Cam", I'd say Luck was better and I'd take Luck over Cam. And as you've read, I've said I'd take Cam.

Stop (you too Red) this crusade protecting a man you don't know, never will know, and has nothing to do with your life at all. He's a QB on a team you follow, yet you protect him like he's your child. Very strange.
