Dogs, Kids and a Return

So, I get an email from a friend of mine who works with a pet adoption networking non-profit. Seems there is a couple who've owned Bella, this beautiful chocolate lab for 8 years and, suddenly, now they have a toddler they've decided they're too busy to be able to care for the dog and have decided to "re-home" her. The dog is incredibly kind and gentle, the owners do not have any issues, the dog is healthy and there are no issues between the child and dog. But that's not really the point.

Personally, I'd like to reply to the email and let them know exactly what I think about people who live and raise a dog as one of their own kids to suddenly decide they don't have time for it anymore, as though it's some old clothing they can haul off to the Salvation Army store. WTF?

I wish I could take every one of these I see, but I've got a couple rescues and I've already spent several hours reaching out to find her a good home. Just pisses me off.
