The Falcons having that much luck again in a division where the Bucs and Panthers are going to be very competitive is unlikely.

Yeah..because beating teams by 20+ about every week is called 'luck'

I remember thinking last year.. "the super bowl hangover won't hurt us. It doesn't exist." then 6-10 happened. Strap yourself in, falcon loser.

And @nctarheel0619 isn't a realist. He just likes to be the contrarian in threads like this. I'll be shocked if the falcons finish at 500.

6-10 happened because y'all made the SB on the easiest schedule in the league.

Nobody is scared of the Falcons.

The Panthers blew out everybody on their schedule as well enroute to their SB appearance. At least we didn't squander a 25 point lead. If any other team was up 28-3 in the Super Bowl I would have stopped watching - but because it was the Falcons, I knew it wasn't safe. Literally only the Falcons could have done that.

You lost 8 coaches. Your schedule is harder. You were extremely lucky last year in the way your team almost completely avoided the injury bug. It will be impossible to replicate last seasons historic offense. Super Bowl hangover.

I firmly believe y'all will be a factor in the division and could possibly win it but the Falcons aren't scaring anyone. The Bucs and the Panthers could win it just as easily and one of these two probably will.

If you really think the saints are going to be at the bottom...LOL.
Saints are by far the most improved team in the south. Second would be the bucs

Confident for losing the foundation of your Offensive line for the foreseeable future. We will see how that pans out week 3, boss.

Falcons averaged 8.3 ppg more than their opponents, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at.  For a little perspective, the 2015 Panthers averaged 12 ppg more than their opponents.  You guys got really hot in December, winning your last four, and you cruised through the playoffs, again much like the Panthers did in 2015.

For our part, we opened on the road at Denver and played Minnesota and three division games with no secondary to speak of (honestly a big mistake on our GM's part, I think).  By the time we got that sorted out, our line was already concussed all to hell and we were struggling to be relevant in our own division.  With the same personnel, we were scoring eight fewer points per game than the year before, while allowing six more.  That's how you go from 15-1 to 6-10.

I don't think the Falcons will fall quite like the Panthers did, but all you need is for Mack to go down like Kalil did, or for Jake Matthews to get his bell rung so hard that he spends more than half the season on the protocol.  Your interior linemen are all in their early 30's, which should raise concerns about injury, but OTOH they all have a great history as far as injury is concerned.

I have no doubt at all you start 1-0.  But hosting Green Bay and traveling to Detroit will be a challenge, and a few weeks later you are in Foxboro.  I will be surprised if you maintain the good fortune that you had regarding injuries next year, and that stuff usually starts wearing on a team at the midpoint.  If you do maintain it, then I can see you getting hot in December again, but your December is all division games and I think the NFCS is going to be super competitive this year.  So maybe you're 9-7 or even 10-6, but I can't see you with 11 wins again.
