@Jeremy Igo This thread is directed at you, and to the Huddle for deliberation.

Jeremy Igo

The CarolinaHuddle is a great place. One of the most active forum message board for Panther fans, the quality of content and effort Igo puts into here is astounding. The layout, the features, and the posters have all contributed to an atmosphere unlike any other.

One of the site's key features is its renown word filter. It automatically changes certain words to another right when you post it.

For example, entering this out-of-the-league QB's name:

tim-tebow-friar-haircut.jpg

Results in this:

As you can see, this word filter does an excellent job. It also turns any profanity into words like fug and poo.

However, this tool needs an upgrade. An update that will ingrain the Huddle in the tablets of time for eternity. One that will enshrine the Huddle in history books for every school kid to learn as one of mankind's greatest innovations of all time.

That simply is this: Whenever one simply write's the word "Falcon", the following will appear afterwards "(blew a 25 point lead)"

With this revelation, every time the text "Falcon" appears, it will look like this every single time:

As you can see, this word filter would be a revolutionary idea that will transform the Huddle for the better.

Here's my case for why this is the best idea ever concocted on the Huddle:

1. It Will Allow Us To Never Forget That Fateful Day

Down the road, everyone will get old. We will forget stuff. We'll forget what we ate for breakfast the day before, and we'll forget some key events that occurred in life. One of the worst things that could happen to any Panther fan would be to forget the Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the superbowl.

In comes this new feature. It will raise awareness of one the biggest chokejobs in NFL history, and will be a constant reminder of a day one simply should never forget. No one will ever have to worry that they will forget one of the most crucial dates in history.

2. Falcon Fans Will Never Forget; Troll repel-ant

You know those pesky Falcon trolls that come on every now and then? While there are some who are decent, there are many more who provide unintelligent squabble equivalent to that of a dying cow.

So, in an effort to make the Huddle great again, the addition of this feature will commit to an atmosphere where Falcon trolls are discouraged from praising their worthless team, and ultimately keeping their junk clear from this site.

3. It's Just The Best Idea Ever

Seriously, wouldn't it be awesome to see a constant reminder that the Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the superbowl?

So, I pass the ball to the Huddle

Do you believe this should be an added to the Huddle? Is this feature a must-add to ensure the quality of the Huddle remains at its peak?

Let your voice be heard. I've made mine be heard, what about you?

Promote that man!

It was funny in march......its getting lame at this point guys.

Getting lame?  Watching our division rival have the most epic collapse in the biggest game of their pathetic franchises history is getting lame?

If I was serving a life sentence in prison and they told me I get one thing to watch for the rest of my days, it would be the second half of that Super Bowl.

That too would be pretty lame.

This is why we are and always will be a small time fan base. Successful franchise fan bases are worried about their team not others.

Hahahhaha Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl. Hahahah Those same Falcons went to the Super Bowl while the Panthers came in last. Those same Falcons beat the Panthers twice and embarrassed them so bad that the NFL made a commercial out of the game. The Panthers also allowed a 500 yard passer and 300 yard receiver to the Falcons. Oh, and I just looked this up, even after blowing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl, the Panthers still have the same exact amount of Super Bowls as those Falcons, zero.

yeah it was great and hillarious at the time, but time to move on. Just makes us look like a petty joke of a fan base. We had Panther twitter accounts tweeting jokes about the bridge collapse not being as bad as the Super Bowl collapse. It's ridiculous.

From the current poll, it looks like a majority of the Huddle is in favor of this change.

Make it happen Igo.

You're still very new here so I'll fill ya in.

Zod would be more likely to NOT instantiate the change based of those results....you just said it yourself...."Huddle is in favor of" is like famous last words.

You've never seen a Steelers fan, have you?

Everyone knows that the Browns suck, but they just push that to the next mile. Same with many other fanbases of successful teams. Broncos will always go ham on how much the Chiefs suck, and plenty of others.

    • his height, size and arm will forever cause problems and limitations...that is what it is.  I think to a degree, the law of averages is just coming into play a bit with him.  So as he plays more and more, you just flat out get the decent days mixed in too.  Which is just going to happen.
    • Good point. He's definitely better in 10-15 yards. I think that's his biggest improvement. But he wasn't 3-10 +15, he was 3-7, with at least one drop (minor but still). And with multiple passes at 14 yards completed. This passing chart doesn't look like at By one, lol. He threw more "deep" passes than Mahomes (NOT comparing him to Mahomes in a skill way lol), or at least more beyind 10 yards.
    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
