Over pay? Do you understand how rookie contracts work with the current CBA? The contract length and dollar amount are known as soon as the player is drafted.

Over draft? He was projected as a "top 100" draft pick. We got him at #128.

Dude was clutch in the playoffs; you have to appreciate that. With the worries about secondary depth, no draftees to groom, and backups that can't stay healthy, bring him back as a back up. Makes no sense not to at least throw out a cheap offer and see if he takes it.

In what playoffs? I have memories of Russell Wilson picking on him constantly during the 2014 playoff "run".

2015. He had a sack vs Seattle and a pick vs Arizona. Both were big splash plays that helped seal the games.
