Carolina Panthers claim Defensive End off waivers

The Carolina Panthers claimed DE Zach Moore off of waivers from the 49ers today. 

Listed as 6'6 and 280lbs and is in his third season. Looks like a project player, but with such a thin DE unit could actually make an impact. 

Moore is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots in the 2014 draft. He did not record any stats for San Francisco last year.

Guessing one more will be waived by week's end when the UDFAs sign.

I have no idea who this guys is so I'm going to make an immediate snap judgement and declare with certainty that he will make/not make the 53.

I do sincerely hope he's awesome but I'd rather have the rookie we just selected ball out. Why not both? Let's do it.

Man, I was hoping the 49ers would cut Ronald Blair after drafting Thomas so that we could claim him.

He's a long shot but gives us nice depth at DE.
