Yahoo Sports draft grades

Yea I went and watched a couple draftbreakdowns videos of Moton and he played very solidly against good talent. Against Wisconsin and high draft pick and speedy pass rusher Watt Moton did great.  I think he could possibly be starting at RT this year.

Exactly. I can agree with an A or A-

While watching ESPN yesterday, one program ranked us dead last in the NFC South as far as draft grades. I couldn't have disagreed more. As for this one; I would say the worst pick was the 7th rounder we spent on the kicker.

Are they liking the players or liking the fit? Are they liking the potential or are they assessing the likely outcome?

I will be pleased if this works out but I'm taking nothing for granted.

Taints don't think its a fit. No surprise there...

Lol saints fans are the Mel kipers of the nfcs fans. Whatever they think, go wth the opposite.

Originally assumed Moton was the target all along.

Easily a better offensive lineman than Hawkins by a longshot. I loved the pick.

That's debatable. They were rated very close by most. What Moton didn't have, that Dawkins did, were felony aggravated assault and conspiracy charges, and he was not acquitted, but instead agreed to a deal. For the Panthers, I think that probably crossed him off the list. Moton's character and smarts are apparent and he'll likely improve his technique quickly.

I definitely hope that we're seen as the easy game in our conference by the other teams and their fans. It makes the wins all the sweeter.

Even if we just improve the secondary we will be a much stronger team. I'm cautiously optimistic.

If he turns out to be good then I think it was a good move. He'd have been better off as an UDFA, rather than a 7th rounder, but now he's locked in, and can't shop himself around. The prospect of getting a 7th rounder at other positions good enough to stick on the roster and actually help are always low.

Maybe we thought he wouldn't be there as a FA.  When you draft them they don't have a choice where they play
