IDK.  Maybe you didn't read the article.  It would only be the 8th round.  By that round, even the players the team chooses in free agency are a long shot to make the team and are more camp fodder than anything else.  This would give fans an added incentive to follow the entire draft and a vested interest in watching a player voted for by them as they progressed through training camp and if they actually make the team or even get to play.  This can only help the revenue of the league as a whole in viewership and in turn revenue.

Actually I didn't read it because it is a dumb Idea.  How are going to prevent people from other areas voting for stupid players to be on our roster.   Remember when we won the best uniform.

Makes no sense and it is a dumb idea.  

Wanna draft a team..  Do a fantasy team and leave the professional club to the professionals.
