I don't think he will.  I can't stand the fact there is nobody in the East that can contend with their teams.  The East is a joke of a conference Jordan had to play HOF's every year out East.  LeBron plays Paul George, Demar Derozen, and I have no clue and gets a free ride to the Finals every year.  It's annoying as fug.

Kinda like the fuggin' Patriots in the AFC East.

I think the LeBron thing is always going to be interesting even 20-30 years down the road.  I honestly think when we discuss the greats.  LeBron will be there, but many people will always have negative things to say about him (they're warranted by the way).  Flip flopping to different teams, that announcement, being absolutely useless vs the Mavs, losing way too many Finals to remember, whining, flopping, being the opposite of clutch.  Got to admit, he's a very interesting player to discuss.  Never have we seen a "the greatest player on the Planet" with so many flaws.

Lebron is a great player, but I wouldn't say he's better than MJ and Kobe.

Yeah, he's not in my PERSONAL opinion.  Hell, he's barely Top 6 currently to me.  But, the younger generation seems to give him way too much hype.  Which is annoying.

The NBA overall right now is comically pathetic as far as parity in the talent pool across the league.

LeBron will go down as one of the greatest to ever play, but he's also switched around on absolutely loaded teams playing against, let's face it, bums. The series where the Heat lost to the Mavs with all time levels of roster talent, and LeBron had no answer for them is the most telling example.

That's sad. It was a fun ride. We all rode it out till the end. So long. This is the end. We did all we could. 84 isn't bad. Well, this is the end. End.

That's great, it starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes
And Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn
World serves its own needs,
Don't misserve your own needs
Speed it up a notch, speed, grunt, no, strength,
The ladder starts to clatter
With a fear of height, down, height
Wire in a fire, represent the seven games
And a government for hire and a combat site
Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry
With the Furies breathing down your neck

Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered crop.
Look at that low plane! Fine, then.
Uh oh, overflow, population, common group,
But it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself.
World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed.
Tell me with the rapture and the rev-'rent in the right, right.
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light;
Feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
