We did alright in the draft regardless. Hope they do sign him. Not qualified to be a GM. Finance and player evaluation are two different things. Give me the guy who has hit the pavement and scoured the college prospects over a bean counter anyday.

If I'm the Bills' owner and I got secret draft info from Beane (assuming that's true), I wouldn't hire the guy. I wouldn't be able to trust him. That's like hooking up with a married person, getting them to leave their spouse for you, then expecting them to be loyal and faithful to you. They already proved they are willing to cheat.

That being said, I seriously doubt Beane would jeopardize his career over one player, who might only be marginally better than the guy drafted after him.
