In addition to securing Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware and Mississippi State wide receiver Fred Ross, the Panthers acquired Florida defensive end Bryan Cox, Charlotte wide receiver Austin Duke and Notre Dame cornerback Cole Luke.

No. Simply making an NFL roster is a great accomplishment for a UDFA. I sincerely hope that we're working our roster into a position where UDFAs have very little chance at being on our 53.

Boulware is going to be linebacker depth, and he has the heart and talent to make this roster.

Don't expect any to make the team this year. Boulware probably has the best chance, to replace Mayo who's taking over Klein's spot, but still don't see the odds being in his favor. Unlikely we have two UDFA LBers make the roster in two years. Very well could happen but I think it's like 40-60. Don't see any of the others making it on the roster, though the CB could have an outside chance as we are somewhat thin there still.

2 UDFA LBs made the roster last year, so Boulware could have a shot.  We do an amazing job at developing LBs.  But of course when you've got TD & Luke from, what do you expect?  Rookie LBs should clamor to come here.  Amazing corps of LBs we've got.
