Let me get this straight,

Going off facts (his previous experience) of which showed he was not a good OC therefore making me have a negative reaction to his hiring makes me biased?!? WTF lol

Sorry buddy, but I want the best at Carolina, and Shula is a long long long way away from being the best to one of the best offensive play callers in the NFL.

As for where I stand today, ive said numerous times I hope he proves me wrong. Would love to eat that crow.

I am gonna pull for him. But rest assured the moment he starts stinking up the joint again I am going to be calling for his head.

I hope he proves me wrong, but that don't mean I am suppose to live in la la land and forget basically his entire career of suckatude minus one year.

Again you said you hated when he got promoted. That suggests you had a negative opinion going in. He hadn't been a OC in well over a decade so again there are no facts suggesting he was going to suck or had sucked in the recent past. First of all he was a head coach at Alabama not the OC. In his 4 years he had one losing season. In 2005 the team went 10-2  and was ranked 8th in the country. The next year they go 6-6 and he get fired because anything less than winning the  SEC and beating Auburn is a bad sason. Opinion.. Shula was a quarterback coach at Jacksonville and helped resurrect Garrards career. Opinion. He was instrumental in getting Cam ready as a rookie with no offseason and a shortened training  camp. It was good enough for Cam to be selected to the probowl. Fact.

After 2 years he was promoted to OC and we finished the year at 12-4 and won the division. Fact. The next year Cam is injured, he lost 2 games and struggled with his back and ankle and we finish 7-8. The following year we go 15-1 and have the best offense in the league. Finally in 2016 everything regresses and we come to the present.

The issue is that you need to come to the land of reality and deal with the real facts instead of your opinions and convoluded logic at best.  This was his second OC job. You need trolling lessons from some of the legendary trolls we have had here. So far your trolling is JV at best.

Oh so now his past OC results dont matter because it was over a decade ago? Gotcha

There was facts, you just choose to brush them under the rug.

I am gonna be pissed at any OC hire if it is A) a guy who has never excelled at OC before and or B) a guy who hasnt studied and mentored under a great offense mind.

Or maybe Cam as a rookie was due to A) Cam being talented as hell and B) Chud's playcalling

The only fact that matters is Shula has had one good year calling plays in his entire career.

I hope people don't judge your current behavior on what you did a decade or more ago. And Shula is the most winning coach in our history and his average points per game for his 4 years is better than Chud or anyone else we have had.
Keep trolling .........

If Shula is such a great OC, then why didn't at least one team reach out to the Panthers for an opportunity to interview him for one of the Head Coaching vacancies that have opened up over the past 3 seasons?

Because they don't think he would be a good head coach? What does that have to do with being a good OC. Totally different jobs and different skill sets.

I hope people judge my anything on everything (past and current).

Past said Shula was subpar and current (last season) was the same.

As I said, he has had one good year in his entire OC career.

Chud didn't have the luxury of having a great D his one year here.

You just proved you are a troll. Even most casual fans know Chud was here 2 years not 1.

There is a lot of talk about this being a make or break season for Shula with the new "weapons", I tend to disagree with that.  As this draft calls for a complete "overhaul" of the offense, so a "down year" which everybody compares to 2015 when we were the "#1 offense" (cough cough, not really...), it will be.

Hypothetically, Shula (an OC) can draw up an amazing scheme but the players still need to have the mental and physical ability to execute said gameplan.

Nevertheless, Shula will have at least two more years in Carolina.
