Either he uses the new weapons correctly and schemes for their abilities or he doesn't. If not then adios amigos.

I thought that was the case last year.

Brb OL injured as hell and sucks yet we mainly draw up long developing plays when we should have went to a quicker shorter 3 step drop offense.

Or at the very least have Cam make his progressions from short to deep.

I think DG has fully laid the ground work for firing Shula. Hopefully we have a top offense, but if Shula can't get it right this year with the additions we have, then he needs to be gone. Not suggesting that there aren't some weaknesses to consider, but I have faith that there are a number of people that could do better than Shula given the same talent.

If I was DG I would have fired Shula after last season.

I would already know he sucked and just be waiting for any excuse to get rid of him and hire my own guy who preferably has a proven track record calling plays or a guy who has mentored under a great playcaller.

We didn't fire Shula because the Panthers know it would be unfair to do so based on last year

I don't believe the task ahead of him is as hard as we're making it out to be either. Curtis and CMC both have plenty of creative plays from college we could ape and he's already adopted cutesy stuff from Chud. He doesn't have to reinvent the wheel. If Matt Kalil performs he may even get away with plays that would have left Cam on his back last year.
