i like when he says that they have to stop turning the ball over, thats the main thing to fix, then procedes to say jake delhomme is still the starter, i know jake isnt the only one, but refresh my memory guys, how many picks had jakey thrown?? i dont know what to make of that, honestly.

7- oh yea and 2 aren't his fault:banghead:

i hope jake is driving the train that totes fox's ass outta here. im tired of bend dont break defense, im tired of offense after offense that cant produce WITH talent. im tired of him producing just enough for him to stick around. im tired of foxball period. im tired of being loyal to veterans instead of actually grooming and producing talent to eventually replace somebody. im tired of trying to be the pittsburgh steelers when we should be the carolina panthers. dont get me wrong i appreciate everything john fox has done, i will never forget 1-15 and how he took us away from that. BUT, the nfl changes every year, and when your team doesnt change, your coaches dont change the way they approach things, you get exactly where we are at right now. wonder what we couldve done just on the defensive side with that 16 mil we gave peppers. heck it couldnt be any worse than it is right now, right?

Jake really did well in that quick paced dink and dunk kind of attack that we used in Atlanta. He should never have more then a 3 step drop as he makes mistakes the longer he is in the pocket. He did better because it was more of a reaction then thinking about it.

You see a guy open underneath you get it to him. Doesn't matter if its Smith or a TE/RB just get the ball to whoever is open. Every play doesn't have to be a 15+ yard gain. If we keep getting positive yardage you are already leaps and bounds from how they played this week.

problem is we lose the same way almost every time, we get behind early, and we have to abandon the run. teams know that, they've been doing that for a while now that if you get up on the panthers, force jake to throw 10-15 extra passes a game, odds are he will make a mistake. honestly ive liked jake and still do, i just think his time has passed, he just doesnt have IT any more. i have always thought that even in training camp fox should have never said jake was the starter till camp is over. theres no fire under jake's behind to get better. competition only makes one better. knowing you can HERE AGAIN stay the same, never evolve, you eventually get lazy. fox is handleing the jake situation just like he did rodney peete, he wont change untill he is forced. problem is it might be too late this time, but if history had taught us anything, would it be surprising if fox/hurney gets another shot because of all the injuries this year?

The only problem I have is that, as Fox said, they're wearing shorts and helmets the whole bye week. I understand protecting players from injury, but that this point I think this team doesn't need the same old routine they've done for years. They need something different to bring some energy.
