I'll stop at 15 to save you the embarrassment, and won't even mention the young safety talent in the NFCS or the teams like the Jags and Titans that nabbed our FA targets.

Giants, Eagles, Redskins, Packers, Vikings, Seahawks, 49ers, Cardinals, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, Colts (didn't want Adams (no one else did) and just nabbed the top safety in the draft), Chiefs, Broncos, Raiders

Dam .. I didn't think you could do it.. But that's not bad..

No problem.  Like I said below average at best, catastrophic at worst.

We're still a great football team but to deny this is stubborn at best, insane at worst.

Yeah, the Jets liked theirs so much they used their first 2 picks on safeties. Or are you already claiming they are better before they have played a down in the league?

And you are also claiming Hooker as the best in the draft before playing one snap?

I would bet you are a big fantasy football fan, aren't you?

Gimme a break.  I tried not to embarrass you too much.  Adams would have been our pick at 8 if available and we worked out Maye too.  Hooker was #2 on many big boards and here and elsewhere was compared to Ed Reed.  Eric Berry, Barry Church, Obi, Josh Jones, Cravens last year etc. etc. etc. ETC.(!!!) it's been one disappointment after another at safety.  Like I said no team in the salary cap era is without flaws.  Hopefully the duct tape and bubble gum there will be enough if we don't bring in more talent.

And I'm sure everyone in new york though Pryor was going to be great when he was picked.

Coleman and Adams have both been to Pro Bowls in the last 2 years. We both know that may not be the best measure of their quality as players, but it would certainly suggest they are more than "duct tape and bubble gum".

Coleman and Adams are a solid starting duo, but Adams is most definitely a stop gap.

Honestly, I'm still more concerned about CB than S. Still a ton of inexperience in that CB corps. Glad we picked up Captain, but I was hoping to add a vet for depth on the outside too.

I think we've pieced together a good back 7 for this year only. Coleman is good back at his pro bowl position, Adams is a solid stop gap w pro bowls in 2 of the 3 last years. Bradley is the deal, Worley is serviceable and Captain is solid. There's you starting DBs. Elder is good depth and so is Tre. With a stud LB Corps and a DL that looks ready to ball out...on paper we look good for this year. Not next year. But this year yes. Offense had way more issues...which have been addressed...on paper.

We'll see what happens at camp.

When did Coleman go to the probowl?? He had a probowl season but i didn't think he got voted in...

Gettleman has done more to bring in solid veteran free agent Safeties than the previous GM for sure. I just  maybe in conjunction with the coaching staff but it seems they like veterans. I think they care greatly but have a different opinion on how.

We're not paying Pryor $1.5 million to come here and suck and sit on the bench.

I don't get why we just wouldn't wait for them to cut him and then make an offer, that's if we even want him. He's certainly no priority.

Dudes a FB.

What other Safety would you have drafted over him

We have a safety that was #2 in the NFL in ints 2 years ago and a major key on D that went to the superbowl. And just signed a vet Safety coming off 2 consecutive probowls

We just shipped Tolberts fat ass out the door and have ZERO behind him

Sent using the amazing CarolinaHuddle mobile app

it would have been nice to get a S in this draft but where we stand we can afford to wait a year and get a really good one...Corner/nickel was more important so i am impressed with going that direction...Unless Adams was there Id'd say we did the right thing in holding off...

Tell us more about the extensive scouting you did on him.

Gnat,I never started telling about extensive scouting...get your momma to read his profile for you...it didnt take extensive scouting to see this guy was a good prospect.
