But our safety situation is below average at best and potentially catastrophic at worse.  A young, talented guy like Pryor seems almost too good to be true and can be had for "anything".

1. So Gettlemen drafts a 6-5, 260lb DE by trading up--one to groom behnd Peppers and CJ.  A developmental player (most all DEs out of college are) with huge upisde
2. So Gettlemen finds a heck of a nickel in the fifth round that likes to tackle.  Who was our nickel last year?  I can't remember.
3. So Gettlemen finds a kicker to challenge another inconsistency last year, one that cost us at least 2 games.

To answer your question about SS:

You are forgetting Adams, a seasoned veteran.  He already upgraded Boston, if only for a year.  You may also be discounting their estimation of Marlowe.  Let's see what he has.  

You are like the kid on Christmas morning who, after opening dozens of gifts, can only talk about the Tickle-me-Elmo that his parents could not get because they ran out of money and they did not see the value in overspending for a trending toy. 

 

Sure, but the problem is this should have been done last year or the year before that. Cam is Long over due to get some talent around him. Props to gett for finally doing it but he waits till it's painfully obvious what needs to be done. He has tried to bargain shop to compensate up till now. This team doesn't lose much ground if we hadn't of took Shaq and butler the last 2 years. They were insurance/depth picks. Your Qb should always be the first priority not stacking a already good defense. Look at what the titans/bucs have done for there qbs and they have only played 2 years so far.

We have a strong safety that has made the Pro Bowl the last two years. Now if Adams gets hurt then I'd consider it.

You don't know that.. He can come in like Mitchell or Colemen did and win the job or playing time.. And the risk is minimal vs the reward of getting a 1st round talent for cheap and being the only team he can negogiate with if he came in and balled out.. If he doesn't like you say his rookie deal is up and he can go...

This, this poo right here is conveniently ignore around here. It's a shame in such a defense heavy draft we decided to go offense heavy, but it was basically a must do.
