Can someone ease my mind on C. Samuel?

I've watched every OSU game the past 2 years. (Wife is a fan, I didn't do it by choice).

I can tell you, 2 years ago I watched Samuel take a handoff to the house when it should've been a tackle for loss. And I turned to my then girlfriend (now wife) and said "Ezekial who? They need to get that kid the ball more."

And then we watched in frustration as OSU failed to get Samuel the ball enough. Every time he touched it, they moved the chains. But then they'd stop giving it to him like morons.

He averaged something like 8 yards per carry. Went over 1k yards receiving and 1k rushing. And barely even toted the rock. They went way too pass heavy and away from plays that simply gave him the ball.

Never seemed to me that he wasn't a good receiving option, at least not in the flow of the games. Barrett consistently missed him or under/over threw him because, well, Barrett.

I think with proper coaching he definitely can grow into a good WR. He's got RB down and honestly, these guys (McSamuel) might become options 1A and 1B on offense.

Harvin is a decent comp, although I think Harvin often made mistakes and put his team in worse situations because he had no reservation about trying to take it yard every single time he touched it. And that's not always what you need from a game manager standpoint. Samuel seems intelligent, shifty, explosive, and really it got to a point where whenever OSU struggled to move the ball, we would be screaming to get it to Samuel and when they did, the ball moved down the field.
