Whats your player grade & thoughts after day 2

McCaffry - B

Not a fan of drafting RB's in the 1st. Having said that, CMC is a stud and if used properly can really help our offense. Shula being our OC worries me greatly. At worst, I think CMC would make a pretty good slot WR

Curtis - B

Not a fan of drafting undersized speed demons with questionable hands and route running in the 2nd. Feel you can get these types later in the draft. Having said that, I do think Curtis is quite a playmaker. Seems alittle too similar position/role wise as CMC ie RB/WR hybrid. Like with CMC, if used correctly, Curtis could be lethal.

Moton - A

Good size and decent feet. Position of need. Can play OG as well. Only concern with Moton is his hands. Needs to get better at latching on to defenders.

Hall - D

Had this been our 4-7 round pick, I would not have mind it. 3rd round is too high for projects in my opinion. The first three rounds you should be coming away with studs/guys who produced and stood out in college.

Overall Felling - Contented

Didn't have a lot of pressing needs going into the draft (assuming we stay healthy). So getting some quality depth at OL and adding playmakers to the O is fairly good assuming they pan out.

I am very satisfied with this draft so far, and I think we should have improved our team.

McCaffrey and Samuel add much needed speed and versatility to our offense and are both home run threats, on offense and special teams. If Shula can't utilize them then the problem is with him and he needs to be gone. They are good football players.

Moton can step in instantly and be an upgrade at RT. Everyone does remember we have trotted out Remmers, Chandler, and Bell the last few years right?

I have no problem with the Hall pick, even as a project give his upside. He isn't probably going to be active to start the year as our DE5. Mario, CJ, Pep, and Horton are a solid rotation. If Hall can step up and supplant Horton, great. Ealy has been supplanted by Horton, who quietly played really well at the end of last year.
To me Hall just replaces Ealy. If he doesn't develop into someone that can contribute next year, we got a problem.

Solid, solid draft

I give the class a B+/A-.  We needed playmakers and we got them.  We needed speed and we got it.  We needed a OT/G and we got what I think was one of the top 5.  Hall is unknown, but has the size and speed to be very good.  I'm no fan of Gettleman, but these were really good picks that make our offense dangerous.  I'll wait til the end to give a final grade, but we also needed a SS and TE: may miss out on both, but we will see.

I got the same grades you do on all four players.

My take aways from Day 2:

(1) got extemely faster on offense

(2) finally surrounding Cam with help instead of trying to let him be the lone savior

(3) ST got better

(4) look to add 1-2 more veteran defensive players before TC starts.

Thought I was the only one who didn't like the Hall pick. Lol

McCaffrey : A- ( A great RB that can do it all. There's a bit of a concern whether Shula uses him appropriately and whether Cam can accurately pass to him in short passing situations. Can his elusiveness translate to the NFL? These questions prevent it from being A or A+ . But to be fair the only players I would have given an A grade to at 8 would be Adams, Hooker, or OJ Howard).

Samuel : B (Very explosive , lots of speed. Not a true WR in terms of routing running and catching ability. I'd probably give it an B+ or A- if we hadn't drafted McCaffrey at 8 )

Moton : A (Great selection, NEEDED at least one OT and guy seems to have prototypical size and experience at the RT position. If Ohers healthy, he's still a great backup option ).

Hall : D (Not sure what they were thinking with this pick. Looks like a developmental project DE who could easily have gone in the 4th or 5th. We could've either picked a much better DE or one of the really good TEs still on the board).
