Panthers sign Hollis Thomas (DT)

Man I'm pissed The Panthers decided to release Harris. I really thought Harris had potential and believed he could make an impact next season. Thomas probably won't be here next season so why in the hell would they release Harris?

That's the question I had. I guess Fox and Hurney aren't looking at next year. It's 2009 or bust for them now. Which is great seeing as they traded our first round pick for a smallish DE.

They cut Harris a highly talented and young DT for a guy that is a jorneyman (with at most a season left in the tank and running on fumes at that) and was just released by the freaking Rams? I'm starting to think we have a bunch of dumb asses coaching and managing this team. Oh wait I already knew that. Don't worry guys only one more season of this bull.

PS did the Steelers pick him back up? There fans were pissed when we got him.

This is complete horse poo they would rather have an UDFA 4th string RB, that will never see the light of day barring massive injuries, then a young and talented DT (which we could use him as depth for if nothing else). Bye Bye Fox and Hurney

u ok buddy??

What leads anyone to think that Harris was a young and talented DT?

His college career (since he is a rookie) he didn't get much credit because he didn't put up great numbers but he was constantly taking on two blockers and he made there whole D better. This is exactly the skillset we need in our D. What upsets me the most is they chose Sutton a 4th string RB over a good player with potential at a position of need. Also for a DT that is way past his prime. We will regret this.

If DeAngelo and Jonathan keep putting up numbers like they have been, people will be calling for Sutton and Goodson to start soon enough. It's forethough.

Sutton shouldn't have been picked up in the first place. His roster space would be much better suited as a DT. I could be wrong about Harris (I'm fairly confident I am not) but if not him then some DT not a RB that will never play. He was going to the packers PS anyway if a injury was to happen we could have just signed him off there PS if we chose to.

I would have much rather see Peppers leave than Harris,w/the contract mess I guess that's not possible. They should have gotten rid of somebody that was dragging ass.
