Who saw it coming?

Here's the point (I think) Mr. Scot was making and with which I agree. At what point in the Panthers history was it universally acknowledged that things "were right" for more than 4-5 games in a row?

So, people predicting doom and gloom have a very good, no, extremely good chance at proving themselves correct. All of you have my congratulations.

Thats the problem, you guys think we are happy about this. I agree with what you are saying but my point is that guys are so quick to dispute any other opinion other than their own its ridiculous. I usually have a good feeling or a bad feeling each preseason and if the Panthers play well or play bad it usually goes back to that. I never expected them to be this bad or get blown out against the Eagles but the fact remains that their poor play during preseason has carried over. So many guys said that it doesn't matter and that we were "chicken littles" or "doom and gloom" but some people just don't want to be realistic when discussing their favorite team, which is totally understandable.

Thats why I never called anyone out. I absolutely hate the fact that we are 0-3, believe me I am as big a Panther fan as there is, I have several witnesses of my insanity that is the Panthers. I'm just simply trying to take a few jabs at the people who said that I was a "chicken little" or "doom and gloom". We got grouped in with all those people which is why I was so upset about it. Yes there are haters and there are homers (both of which are annoying) but neither of us are in those groups. The only vindication that I get is posting some of the nonsense that people threw out there during preseason to justify a poor performance.

Some people want to wait and see and thats fine. Nothing wrong with that, but were you one of the ones bashing others who didn't want to wait and see? If not then this is in no way directed to you.

I love to argue both sides of a point so if I bashed anybody I probably joined up with them in another thread! So I'm not arguing with you to call you out, just to continue the discussion. It's obvious you're a die hard just like many of the others that took various positions.

Maybe my wife's right. She's fond of telling me that the Panthers aren't listening when I yell at the screen or type incessantly.

Have you noticed that many of these suspects are missing in action? I wouldn't call them bandwagon fans (although those dropped like flies also) but losing does have a way of thinning out the herd when it comes to defining fans.

I don't know about anyone else but 2001 made me a better fan and 2001 made 2003 all that much sweeter.

I definitely agree 100% with both of you and its actually nice to have a civilized discussion with out all the hotheads on here that usually mess things up. There is another thread where I am arguing that Jared Allen isn't greater than Peppers. To me comes down to Peppers is more talented but Allen has a better motor...its that cut and dry. But guys are so upset at the Panthers right now that they will bash every person on the team because they are mad...not rational.

So thanks guys, its a good debate and I always love a good debate. Especially when its about my beloved Panthers. And the only positive thing about us being 0-3 is the fact that the homers and haters are all but gone. I really think we can turn it around though, which only means they will be right back on here running their mouths.
