This is a deep draft at TE.  Probably can get a decent one even at our 3rd pick.  The Leggett type guys should be there in the 3rd.

If not George Kittle, the best blocking TE of the draft with underrated wr skills.

He was the Stanford WR coach, not he RB coach. Also, he has already said that CMC will be getting some reps in the slot as well as at RB. I don't care what anybody says, this kid is a match up nightmare for DC's because of his versatility. I promise you that Shula will find ways to get him matched up against LBers in coverage.

Lance Taylor was Stanford's RB coach.

Mike Greenberg- pick doesn't make sense, they don't throw to their running backs

Mike Golic- not sold on the kid, had a great Combine but he's not great at anything.

Booger McFarland- Shula will have to figure out a way to utilize the kid so Cam doesn't keep getting beat up

That last one has me concerned

They're all correct, and I knew that when they picked him.

When chud was here Stewart caught for like 400 yards so the dude can catch, and that was when we had deangelo and he could catch too--

we just don't throw to running backs-- Shula is as a Shula does.

This is my only concern with the pick. If Shula gets more creative on offense this team should win 10 games at worst. CM should have anywhere between 40 to 50 catches by seasons. If we don't incorporate more screens, wheel routes, and use CM in the slot regularly this year then we should seriously consider hiring a new OC at season's end.

At least we don't have to worry  Shula calling running plays to Mike Tolbert on 2nd and 9 anymore.

Golic is a MORON!!

McCaffrey proved he was great at every single thing he was asked to do in college..haha..Pathetic that he would even suggest something so asinine..Greeny and Booger obviously think you aren't allowed to tweak schemes to fit your personel..smh

A bunch of TEs I like left. Kittle from Iowa, Sprinkle from Arkansas, Shaheen (he's not my favorite) and Leggett are all pretty solid. Kittle and Sprinkle looked good catching the ball at the combine and are both known as blockers. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Kittle ends up better than Howard.

They suck as a morning show, but can't say they are wrong about anything they said. Our offense is going to have to do a complete 180 to incorporate a guy like McCaffrey. We have the least amount of throws to RBs percentage wise in the entire league. I guess that's gonna change or we wasted this pick..

So just throw it to running backs more. It's not rocket surgery.

Maybe the reason we got McCaffrey was because we wanted to throw more to the backs but with our suspect line our backs werent able to get open in space. McCaffrey is the most elusive back we have ever had and can make folks miss in space. With a healthy o line and McCaffrey our short game should be 180% better.

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
