Idgaf of you think I'm a shitty fan. The Panthers are the only team I like but if it means suffering thru another poo year or two to weed out shitty picks by a shitty coach and gm then so be it.

I know a lot of fans will be kind of half hoping he's a bust so they can say 'told you so', but he's an exciting player and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action. If he can stay healthy he can be a big boost to the offense, not to mention the return game.

Any Panthers fan that wants him or any of our picks ever to be a bust is not a "fan"

Back to the OP, once you realize the amount of study that went into McCaffrey, it becomes plain to see that he was their guy.  It was impressive.  Shula is going to have to put him to use.  He'll be a special teams star for us, and once the game plan for using him gels, we could see some magic plays we haven't normally seen.

we'd rather get rid of shitty fans like you

No poo! Guess some people just use their heads as a hat rack, I never understand people when it's more important to say I told you so than to win.

No we are saying you aren't a fan at all. Wishing your team and it's players failure is not being a fan.

Being a fan means cheering and rooting for them to succeed no matter what.

Just saying

Yeah, I think it was a tell when Gettleman called him a 3 down player, not a 3 down back

Being a fan doesn't entail blindly accepting everything your team does. Its a product that I pay hard earned money to indulge in. If there's something I don't like I have a right to be pissed about it.

I have to say I usually am not happy with the picks as they come in. The only ones I immediately felt good about were Star and KB. It's not until I hear Dave and Ron talk about the pick that I start to feel better. Sometimes it's just the fact that we never seem to grab a "sexy" pick, other times I'm worried about how they'll translate.

I don't follow college football, but I remember watching a Stanford game a couple of years ago and saw McCaffrey just light it up. I remembered his name and thinking I bet we don't even get a chance to draft him, but he's special. Anyway, I just want to believe that his abilities will translate to the NFL the way we want. I think guys like him who do it all in college can be scary picks, just because it's often that they're just freaks but raw. Hearing about McCaffrey makes me think he's not raw at all, but a very polished student of the game.

I don't think Dave would take a guy who physically can't handle the NFL game. If Dave isn't afraid of McCaffrey's size, then I guess I shouldn't be either.

excited to see him shred some defenses.

"FAN-ATIC" No one said you couldn't be upset or pissed about the pick but a fan doesn't wish failure on his team or it's players. If you really spend money it makes even less sense tbh.

    • The problem with Tmac im almost certain he will go top 5 and I can't see either Jacksonville or New England passing him up.   I think in a perfect world we draft either Tmac or Hunter, but they interviewed Prime on Speak today and he said he will have a say in where Sanders and Hunter play. So I'm not even sure if Hunter is a option now lol.
    • Trading Deontae was 100% the right call, as he's not a #1 either and we weren't going to re-sign him, but we still got an awful return for him (thankfully the Mingo trade made up for it). And yes, we need that smaller shifty WR, but we also need a true outside #1 as neither XL or Coker are that. That's why I think T-Mac is a perfect fit for us in the early 1st round as that outside #1, Coker and XL could both play on the other outside and in the slot, and find a small shifty WR to work from the slot too, with Sanders, Brooks, and now Hubbard with the extension, plus our OL, is an offense that can succeed with a good game manager type of QB and not need a superstar.
    • Put the pipe down. You are what your record says you are. They need talent and a lot of it. Brown is set but he can use upgrades all around him. ARob is fine but a short timer so competition is needed as a hedge against him chasing money next year. They need a bunch of LBs. Jewell is stopgap and Shaq is losing a step. He's the smartest of the group but he can no longer hang with a TE. They are playing harder yes, but it's due to grit and pride more than skill. They are finally getting tired of getting their asses kicked. Unfortunately for them the beatings will continue until moral improves.
