For those of you who thought that McCaffrey couldn't possibly be used in the return game because he's a top 10 pick, think again. In fact, don't expect him to be on the bench collecting dust. He was picked for a reason, and that's to give this offense a legitimate spark.

"Rivera said he'd be used as a punt returner right away but didn't stop there, saying McCaffrey should in short order be able to complement running back Jonathan Stewart and improve life for quarterback Cam Newton."

"'We feel like this young man is going to be able to get on football right away and help make an impact,' Rivera said."
 

And for the older NFL fans, remember Curtis Martin? 

 

"'It doesn't happen very often,' Gettleman said. 'The best tackle-box runner I've ever seen is Curtis Martin out of Pitt. Christian is right there with him. Running in that tackle box takes unique vision and unique quickness, and he's got it. So, don't expect any dust under McCaffrey's feet, except for the dust he produces as he slashes and jump-cuts in the trenches and blazes down the field past hapless defenders.

Likely gonna be injured on his first nfl hit. 2nd and 3rd round picks will likely be more successful than this poo ass pick. fug you Dave.

Uhhh...I'm not your mom and this was a good pick. There is probably not a LBer in the league who can cover this kid out of the backfield and he is a very good RB. Ramming into the line at full speed isn't the only way to move the chains in the NFL. There have been plenty of good RB's who did it with pure skill in the hole and this kid has that.

Even if there is, think about the fact that in drills and practice (insert Iverson gif here) he's going to be dealing with Luke, TD, and Shaq, as well as our D-Line. If he can find a way to produce through that, then watch the fug out.

I'm not saying the guy is going to be the top RB in the league, but damn, let the guy work with what we have first and make judgements afterwards.
