I think Gettleman will trade up for Fournette. I want Fournette but wouldn't trade up for him but I have a feeling he would IF Jax passes on him. He will then trade up with TN to grab Fournette, this way he wouldn't give up next years 1st. TN doesn't mind going back bc they get more picks and still can get OJ.

This is pretty much the most Gettleman like pick for 8. Either him , OJ Howard, or Lattimore.

It's quite amazing to see how strongly the fans want / believe we'll pick Offense.  I know some of the defensive players in the top 8 are excellent, but I really DO hope we pick offense at #8.  We need more star power on offense.  Cam is amazing, but he can't do it on his own.  Getting more talent / swagger on offense, really INVESTING in the offense this draft could go a long way to building a juggernaut.

Yes, I want us to get a young DE, and hopefully good backup DB / depth for S & CB too.  But if we don't draft at LEAST 3 - 4 players quite high on offense, (RB. WR, OT and perhaps TE depending on how they fall), I'll be disappointed.

If Garrett. Thomas, or Adams were to fall to #8, I'd of course understand Dave picking a defensive guy first, but in any other scenario, assuming one of Fournette / McCaffrey / Howard are on the board at #8, we need to pick one of them!

Dave is not the only one making the decision , the coaching staff will have far bigger voice after DG screwing last season due to his Ego.

First round will be offense!

What find amazing is the fact that NONE of us have a clue. 

Hell I have changed my mind 3 times since I read through this thread.

It will be fun that is for sure.   I gotta set my alarm because it come on at OH DARK THIRTY for me.  It starts at 3am for me.  And Friday ain't much better.

Exactly! No one does! Just like my post about us trading up to 2nd overall pick. The 49ers aren't one or two players away from contending like we are. They may value the picks more than drafting Garrett.
