Adam Schefter Believes Tribusky Will Be The #1 Overall Pick

Taking a QB over a stud like Garrett is only a bad move if the QB busts. If you think the QB can be a franchise guy, you take him.

Garrett, although a very important piece, isn't as valuable as a potential franchise quarterback. JJ watt maybe the best defender ever and no team would trade a top 10 QB for him. Russell Wilson, a average to good QB, has more value than Watt, the maybe GOAT defender.

If you like him take him. It truly baffles me how tems without a QB dont take at least two in every draft.

Personally, I find the fact that the Browns would pass on Deshaun Watson to be like if the Panthers had passed on Cam for Blaine Gabbert. Intangibles are difficult to measure and I feel that Watson has the "it" factors that would make him far and away better than Mitch. It isn't every draft that a QB needy team has a opportunity to take a two time National Championship participant, who made it there via the playoff, with the first pick. I'd imagine that if Watson doesn't go first, Shanahan will pick him up as Watson has the ability to run those outside bootlegs which will open up the zone running lanes for whatever runningback they pick-up later in the draft.

This could be quite real. Keep in mind, they want to trade back into the Top 10. They want Garrett and Trubisky... but it looks like no one is looking to move at the moment. That could change on draft night. If nobody wants to play ball, then the Browns have to make a hard decision: 1.) Draft a QB and hope he's finally a franchise player and start winning or 2.) Draft a good DE but go nowhere.

QBs, no matter how average or mediocre they are... it's a prime position in the NFL. If you dont have one, then you'll overpay or overdraft.

Totally agree if you dont one its amazingly hard to pass on a QB.

Watson is ready right now. You're right. That kid has something I like.

No way we get up to #2 if the Browns pass on Garrett, as the Niners are going to want a king's ransom.

BUT, if we did somehow find a way to trade up to get him, I'm not going to lie...  i have some questions about his dedication to the game and to be great, but maybe our organizational culture would prop him up.  If we traded up to get him, I may even excuse the cost of the trade in the wake of my excitement for his potential as an edge rusher for us.

All that considered, I don't see it happening.

As an alumnus, I've posted it before, but I don't get the Trubisky hype either.  When I watched him, I never thought "this is a first round talent."  Watson definitely has that "it" factor and I believe he's the best QB of this class.

Keyword "may". He did not say that the Browns are 100% taking him. I could say the exact same thing about the Panthers.

THE PANTHERS MAY SELECT DESHAUN WATSON AT 8, CLICK ME

Move over Cam! new sheriff in town.

what i find sad and infuriating is the amount of supposed Panthers "fans" who still after all this time hate Cam and wish we would bench him. almost every game i go to a game, i get in an argument about Cam with someone. and the thing that amazes me is that it is NEVER a fan of an opposing team. its always a Panther fan who happens to also be football illiterate smh
