Adam Schefter Believes Tribusky Will Be The #1 Overall Pick

This is the dilemma they have.  Picking Garrett first then taking a QB at 12 is the logical decision, and they probably know that also.  The problem is there is no way for them to guarantee that the QB they like will be there.

They could move up to 3rd and still miss out on their guy.  Now if they like 3 of the QBs equally there is a better chance of one of them being there but I would guess they have decided one of them is the better prospect.

Personally I would just be patient and let the board come to them.  If their guy is there so be it, if not there are plenty of other players to consider or maybe a reasonable trade up scenario happens.

It is such a QB driven league teams end up doing crazy stuff.  When you think about it a good QB will win you as many games as a great player at any other position.

Yep, we need to pull a trade with Jacksonville now. I mean like...now. every team will want to trade up to 2 for Garrett but the truth is someone who wants/needs a QB will offer the most. Franchise (or perceived franchise) QBs are worth a billion picks in most front offices.

So, if Trubisky is the pick, don't be surprised to see San Fran take Watson, and then Chicago Kizer leaving Garrett to fall to #4.

Trubisky and Watson are the only QBs in this draft I would take in the top 10, if I were desperate.

Either way, Cleveland is taking a big risk at either of them being available if they wait until 12. This is especially true if they aren't getting good responses about moving up from 12. If they take Garrett at #1 and miss out on either of the top two QB's, they could very well be relegated to signing Kaep or Cutler (yuck.)

If Trubisky is indeed their guy, you go out there and get him while you can. Nothing else is guaranteed.

I think they should take Garrett, as do most. But I am not surprised by this. Take Trubisky, and then see who falls to 12. They'll either get a solid defender there or another offensive playmaker, and not have to trade up to do it. Let everyone else scramble to move up or down, but they for sure get the one guy they want the most.

None of you should be surprised if Cleveland took a QB.  This is Cleveland we're talking about here.  I heard last night during ESPN's mock draft special, their owner was angry about not getting Carson Wentz.  So there is a chance of seeing Trubisky or Watson being the first pick.  That is why I want the Panthers to trade for SF's pick right now for that rumored price, if they are going to trade up to 2.  They won't be able to do so on draft night if Cleveland messes up.

It makes all the sense in the world that the Browns would draft a bust-in-the-making at #1.

I would die of happiness if we traded up to #2 to get Garrett, but why wouldn't San Francisco just draft him themselves?

Because Niners. Seriously the most defunct front offices draft 1 and 2 this year.

If they believe Tribusky is the answer they should. Garrett could be amazing, they're still not going anywhere without a franchise QB.

More than half of Garrets sacks came against G5 and FCS programs. Last season, he had no sacks in like 6 games or something crazy like that. Meanwhile, Barnett, also from the SEC, got most of his sacks against SEC competition. It really is sad that they are going to waste their chance to dig themselves out of the mud pile by passing on a guy like Fournette or some other person with production to match their measurable..
