I assure you the high BP is not genetics. I was told the same. That's an excuse for them to sell you meds forever.

Everytime you consume meat eggs or dairy your arteries tighten. This causes blood pressure to rise because they don't expand to relieve the pressure.

I will test it out, though I will say that both of my parents and all four of my grandparents were/are cursed with hypertension. I'm gonna test your theory out though, you tree hugger. :)

Big time props to you for being able to change your lifestyle for the better like that! I could never go to a plant-based diet, I absolutely hate veggies and could never be able to give up meat.

i said the same thing. i have always thought i'd be the last person in the world to give up meat, but once i committed its been pretty easy. treating your diet purposefully rather than as a source of pleasure is the key - find other sources of pleasure, feed your body what it needs.

I have found this too. The ego suppression aspect of it has been interesting. Find myself enjoying other things more.

Try it for 28 days, I guarantee your BP drops. they had to decrease my prescriptions within a month.

My family all had it as well, but they all ate plenty of meat and dairy. Can't really go by that.

Bingo.

Once people realize this dieting becomes a lot easier. You realize quickly what your body needs vs what it wants. Then it's just a matter of having the self control to fight the want.

Im a big believer in cheat days once a week, assuming you're legit dieting 6 other days. I feel like 6 days is doable and on day 7 you can let go a bit and kill some cravings.

It's not very realistic for someone to start a diet and stick with it forever. So setting up cheat days allows people to let their guard down for a day without feeling like they've just lost control or sabotaged their diet.
