If we take Fournette. Do we actually use him?

No player not named Julio Jones is worth trading the farm for to move up in the draft, especially not a running back with a history of injuries and what seems to be lack of will to play. Dude doesn't love the game, and if things get difficult, how long does he stick around? C

Stewart will be the starter game one, unless he is injured.   There is more to being a running back than just running.  He has to learn to pass block, know the plays, follow the lead blockers, and whatever else a running back does.  Now whether he is the starter in game 8 or 10 is anyone's guess.  But unless Fournette proves to be the greatest ever, he will be worked into the rotation.

I would be shocked if Fournette doesn't beat out Stewart for the starting job. Stewart is a glorified FB at this point in his career

Are you stupid or something?

Please tell me you aren't this retarded.

Exactly how is he washed out or a "glorified FB?"

Fournette would be extremely lucky to even sniff out J-Stew's starting job. Fournette isn't even close to J-Stew's pass blocking, and definitely not from running shotgun.

people enjoyed themselves mocking op for this thread but i think it's a legit point. Deangelo had to sit behind Deshaun "1 yard and a fumble" Foster for 2 seasons when it was absolutely obvious to everyone that he was a star. Ron shares that mindset more often than I'd like.

but it's going to be true no matter who we draft so it doesn't matter if it's Fournette or Garrett or McCaffrey.

Disagree about McCaffrey.

CM definitely wouldn't start as the starting running back over Stew IMO but, considering Rivera's predilections as you accurately state above, due to his multiple skills he'd likely immediately get plenty of downs as a sub-RB, slot receiver, and kick returner even though he wouldn't be a "starter".

Is selective highlights supposed to sway my opinion? Is that how you "evaluate" propspects? Looking up YouTube highlights LOL

Why don't you show highlights of Stewart trying to get around the edge? You know when a DT chased him down. Why not bring up his 3.8 ypc? That's the great shotgun runner your touting, 3.8 ypc

Stewarts best days are behind him, your delusional fanboy who continually spouts stupid threads that you copy and paste from YouTube scouts.
