That cutback though...

I think DJ is being awfully kind...  I know CM had really good numbers on quickness drills at the combine and all, but if you watch McCoy run, his feet and legs look like they're moving twice as fast as anyone else on the field.

I can see the lateral cut being similar, but McCoy is much more explosive coming out of his cuts and i think his quickness may be unparalleled.

That Shady clone broke Barry Sanders all purpose yards record in 2015. I think he will be better than Shady. The last time I touted a player like this was Kuechly. We see how that turned out.

Great player and great moves.  But not more impressive on numbers alone than breaking GOAT Reggie White's record and being top 10 all time in sacks in CFB history in only 3 years.

You dont know that he can't run vertical routes. Our wide receiver coach who developed him said he knows and can run the whole route tree. Just like everyone assumes Fournette can't catch the ball because he didn't in college. Gettleman said based on the combine and workouts that Fournette has good hands. McCaffrey is a great back and receiver. Speculation has been that he would go as a first rounder as a wide receiver alone.

McCaffrey hasn't attempted many passes in college, if any at all so we don't know that he can't be an NFL caliber QB. Speculation is that he'd go first overall as a QB alone.

for whatever reason, as much as dislike it, I feel that Mccaffery will be the pick.  Especially when you factor in that the Panthers signed stanfords RB coach.  Fournette will not be there.  As bad as I want a  TE in OJ Howard, or a DE in Barnett or Thomas,  I think the writing is on the wall for Stewart.  No one in Carolinas backfield has stepped up to say they will be the guy to replace Stewart, and frankly that stable of rb's has become quite stale imo.  Gettlemen may want to infuse some new energy into that group with a jack of all trades rb in Mccaffery and his rb coach.

I doubted it, there's been too many people calling for him or Fournette to be the pick. Gettleman will do the exact opposite of what people expect

My prediction is still that DG wants both LF and CMc. If LF falls, watch for Carolina to draft him at 8, and then move up using multiple picks and maybe a future pick to get McCaffrey too.

Imagine, thunder and lightning both in the same draft...immediately you have your RBs of the future, and the offense is evolved at the same time.

RIP CH servers if that happens

Even when you're trying to be a smart ass and make the most ridiculous attempt at a comparison you're wrong.

McCaffery has 2 touchdown passes that I know off the top of my head (Hooper and Hogan).

McCaffery has shown the ability to run routes and his footwork alone gives everyone the impression he'd make one hell of a slot receiver. For you to take that and go yada yada yada QB... like cmon man...

McCaffery has Odell like footwork. His 6.57 3-cone time is just silly. No doubt in my mind he can run any route. Now imagine if he starts focusing/practicing on become a legit slot receiver? That could be scary.
Having McCaffery on the field is going to open up things up for a guy like Olsen big time. I just don't see how people can be against this pick.

Now add his wide receiver coach was his college coach and already knows his strengths and weaknesses and he could be a bigger better version of Wes Welker.

    • The problem with Tmac im almost certain he will go top 5 and I can't see either Jacksonville or New England passing him up.   I think in a perfect world we draft either Tmac or Hunter, but they interviewed Prime on Speak today and he said he will have a say in where Sanders and Hunter play. So I'm not even sure if Hunter is a option now lol.
    • Trading Deontae was 100% the right call, as he's not a #1 either and we weren't going to re-sign him, but we still got an awful return for him (thankfully the Mingo trade made up for it). And yes, we need that smaller shifty WR, but we also need a true outside #1 as neither XL or Coker are that. That's why I think T-Mac is a perfect fit for us in the early 1st round as that outside #1, Coker and XL could both play on the other outside and in the slot, and find a small shifty WR to work from the slot too, with Sanders, Brooks, and now Hubbard with the extension, plus our OL, is an offense that can succeed with a good game manager type of QB and not need a superstar.
    • Put the pipe down. You are what your record says you are. They need talent and a lot of it. Brown is set but he can use upgrades all around him. ARob is fine but a short timer so competition is needed as a hedge against him chasing money next year. They need a bunch of LBs. Jewell is stopgap and Shaq is losing a step. He's the smartest of the group but he can no longer hang with a TE. They are playing harder yes, but it's due to grit and pride more than skill. They are finally getting tired of getting their asses kicked. Unfortunately for them the beatings will continue until moral improves.
