Sapp is dumb. But i do disagree with the Julius Peppers comparison. I think he's between a Clowney and Mario Williams. Not as good as Clowney but better than Williams.

LOL.. what???

Williams has 97.5 sacks in his career including 5 10+ sack seasons. Clown eye has 10.5 sacks in two seasons and is playing on borrowed time with that knee. He won't come anywhere close to Mario.

Say what you want about Sapp guys. But, you have to admit he knows a bit about playing defensive line in the NFL. He once had 16 sacks from the DT position and is in the Hall of Fame. I'm sure he can scout potential lineman (especially pass rushers) better than us.

I tend to think Garrett is overrated. I think he will be good eventually, but I doubt he'll be a once in a generation talent or dominate during his first couple of years in the league. Now, if he somehow landed with us he'd have the luxury of learning from established pass rushers (Peppers, Johnson, Addison, Kwann) and wouldn't have to start right away. If he ends up with the Browns, Niners, Bears, Jags, etc I'm expecting him to struggle initially.

MJ is the greatest basketball player ever but a five year old could pick better talent by throwing darts at a draft board. Just because you were great doesn't mean you have a great eye for talent.

Hah I was going to say about the same thing. I saw something somewhere else that was downplaying williams' career. Think it was talking about that draft and taking Williams #1 being viewed as a mistake. Williams has had a great career.

He talks too much, he doesn't make sense, he's fat, he's sloppy, he acts like he's the best thing since sliced bread. He's ugly, he stinks, his mouth stinks, his breath stinks, and basically his soul stinks, too...

Sapp also said Strahan didn't belong in the HOF and he got butt hurt every time anyone talked about how good JJ Watt was.  He picks and chooses who he thinks should get notoriety and if you disagree with him you're an idiot.

There's a reason after NFL network fired him that all of the normal day to day staff stated he was unstable and you shouldn't make eye contact with him.

Well, I really can't argue with you about the Jordan statement. You win that hands down. My only comeback would be that MJ has to pick players for each position on the court. I'd expect him to do a better job selecting a SG over a C, PG, or PF.

If I were a GM, and Sapp was a scout on my team, I'd have to at least take into consideration his thoughts on a D-lineman. Not so much on the other positions on the field.

Wouldn't it be funny to find out that the rest of the league's scouts and the draft gurus had been cahoots for a decade and a half to try and mess with Cleveland's draft picks, just to watch them pick bust after bust?

"Yeah, yeah, that Brady Quinn guy, he's got it, go for it man..."

"Don't worry about Johnny Manziel's rep, he's the next Joe Namath. Super Bowl, he'll guarantee it!"

Prospect wise. PROSPECT WISE

Clowney was massively overrated. He hit that Michigan RB really hard and was hyped beyond belief other than that no one would've known who he was because he pulled a disappearing act in his final college season.

Mario was the better prospect. Mario was a better prospect than Garrett too and I think Garrett > Clowney.

he's still the best talent in this draft with the highest ceiling

i will say this though.  i think adams is the safest pick in this draft.  i'll be absolutely shocked if adams at the very least isn't a perennial pro bowler.  i think he could be one of the best safeties ever
