Makes a trade up to #2 far more appealing

In a shocker, the Bears supposedly are most likely to pick Tribusky if he were to pass the Browns and 49ers. In this scenario, the 49ers are likely to pass him up at 2, while the Bears are targeting him in 3. With pressure on the fact the Browns really want Tribusky, they may have to go with him #1 overall if they like him.

Only hope for MG is to convince jags to trade after top 3 picks are all QBs on Thursday. Else its a pipe dream. And this QB group isn't strong enough to warrant that. 8 to 4 is conceivable.

To get to #2 starts with 8, and next year's 1st or the phone instantly hangs up in SF. Then some package of 2nd round picks, likely 40 and either 64 or next year's 2nd. The jump from 8 to 2 is massive compared to 8 to 4.

We all know MG would be the perfect guy here to pair with short, star, any other DE on the roster (1 out of the top 3 will work out). That would cover a lot of secondary issues on D. But its not happening. And not convinced he is that supreme a talent to give up 1st 2 rounds in consecutive years. He extremely good, but not Pep, Clowney or Super Mario at De.

If you don't have a QB then you can't compete. If Cleveland thinks there's a franchise QB in this draft then they're crazy not to take him. Forget what all the draftniks want to say. Garrett can be the second coming of Reggie White and they'll still be non-factors if they can't find a competent QB.

If you hit on a good young QB in round one, you lock up the most expensive position on the field for five years.

That is some high reward poo right there.

Keyword is hit and history says otherwise for Browns

Not even Murphy law can help them
