Actually, Panthers internal media are usually kept more in the dark than outside media as the panthers control their access and reporters don't care to sniff around, bend rules, and get canned for doing so. One of the benefits of being an outsider, you don't report to the people you cover. 

Bill could be different, but historically that is how it has been.

This is what I was thinking. His job used to be to try and 'break news'. Now his job is to 'report' what the Panthers want him to report.

With Voth now working for the Panthers he has become the 1 "must follow" guy for everything Panthers.

Historically Voth has always had a solid inside track to a lot of info and now he's only going to have more as his sources are obviously only going to strengthen. 

The Panthers were the ones who broke the Cam surgery, Stew contract and produced a Peppers interview a little while ago as well. Just in a single week since accepting the job Voth has already done one on ones with Cam and Luke. Since this time no one else has really put out anything note worthy.

That's a good counterpoint. When you're covering your boss it can get complicated. Not necessarily a good position to be in. But he is in a position to give us more info if they want. But obviously not anything about the draft...again, unless you believe in smokescreens...which I don't see DG doing much of. But I'm just a fan, 100% swayed by every, and I mean every, media report. ;)

lol. The Panthers media guys don't "report" anything. They aren't trying to "cover for their boss."

 

They are a mouthpiece. They don't contribute news. They are simply there make the team's official announcements and to maintain an online presence for profitability purposes

 

I wasn't aware there were people who actually thought they were getting real news from the team lol.
