Well that settles it: we're taking OJ Howard at 8

If we can't get Fournette.. I wouldnt be too upset if we picked this kid up. Seems like hes got a good head on his shoulders and we definitely are going to need a Tight End of the future sometime soon.

There are some real advantages to having a guy as fun and successful as Cam as our qb and face of the franchise.

PS- I wouldnt be upset of OJ was the pick, not at all.

Only reason I wouldn't like Howard is because of value and how he doesn't seem to have that high of a ceiling in comparison to other TEs we could grab.

Nevertheless, most complete TE from this class, so I guess it's justifiable. He's pretty basic from a skills standpoint, but I'm more or less accepting the fact that if Fournette, Thomas, and Adams don't fall, he's probably (sadly) our next option.

It baffles me that people are entering the NFL who grew up looking up to Cam Newton. Cam was like 15 years old when I joined this damn message board

Really it's just me being scared OJ Howard doesn't live up to the hype. He has nothing to show on tape he'll be dominating in the league.

I hope I'm proven wrong if he's the pick.

There's nothing special about Greg Olsen either but somehow he's always open and catches everything

Think of Alabama as Voltron.  OJ Howard was the Blazing Sword and they kept using those other useless weapons the entire time, when they could have just brought out the blazing sword and gone home.

Yep, so question is why didn't they use that blazing sword?

Is it an OJ Howard problem they tried to hide, or was it Bama themselves that is to blame? Most seem to want to say Bama, but I'm skeptical.
