Are people really saying McCaffrey is preferred over Fournette now?

If Fournette is so much better than CM, why did CM outperform him in every measure in college? And that is including their respective performances against stacked boxes.

I really like LF, but I do not agree he is heads and tails better than CM.

My main question is if his power actually translates to the nfl. He's not very shifty or elusive at all so hes a lot more one demisional than McCaffrey . Hes fast but will that matter if he can't get around defenders to pick up speed and break a good run ?

Not saying he can't or won't translate these skills to the nfl , I'm just saying too many people are assuming Fournette has no problems with his skills translation to the nfl but they're questioning mccaffreys

Tyler Gaffney and Toby Gerhart also outperformed LF in college 

You don't see a trend in Stanford backs? They beat up on weak PAC 12 defenses year in and year out

 

You put LF in Stanford and he would have rushed for over 2000 easily

Not really, from what I am hearing. Defensive player just as likely.

Question I haven't seen talked about much anywhere (unless I'm blind), but what would the hypothetical timeshare between Stewart and Fournette look like? I don't think you would have both guys on the field at the same time like you could with McCaffery.

Is it possible if you land Fournette at #8, you trade Stewart for a pick to a RB needy team like the Eagles or Packers?

No I wouldn't trade up to the top 5 for anyone but Myles Garrett.  That said, I'd much rather take a blue chip player at 8 than trade down and reach for a guy like McCaff.  If he fell to the 2nd then why not but he doesn't look like a 1st rounder to me. Too slow, too weak.

To me, this would be absolutely terrible. Like one of the worst things that could happen in the draft.

I could not fathom spending three high draft picks for a damn one dimensional/one trick pony running back. 

If Fournette is available at 8 and Gettlemen believes he is the best player available then fine, but please do not trade up for a running back.

Then if he gets hurt we have??  Stew would be an excellent mentor especially because they have similar styles

I wish Thomas would somehow drop to 8.  I think a get after the quarterback DE is the most surest thing that will have a big impact from day one.  I would personally take him over LF.  Another interesting scenario would be if we could trade back up into the first round and get OJ Howard and Mccaffery, that is if Thomas and Fournette are gone.

I definitely believe that they run to the podium if 4net is there at 8.  But I also believe that CM Stanford RB coach is pounding the table for him.  I've read that he is the " Luke Keukley" of offense.  He studies the tendecies of defensive players and uses this in the way he runs.  Sometimes it's not all athletic ability.

Just read that his interview was like The Golden Calf of Bristol. I'm assuming that's very good.
