Why have I started hearing more Reuben Foster to the Panthers chatter this week?

That would be fine with me.  T.D isn't getting any younger and we just don't know about Luke's head at this point going forward.

I've been giving this a lot of thought. When I first heard it, I also thought I would be on suicide watch like some others have already posted. But you're right about TD (although I have zero concerns about Kuechly). I acknowledge the following almost never happens and is usually confined to message board status, but maybe they'd consider sending Shaq Thompson to safety if they draft Foster. Starting TD, Kuechly, and Foster with Shaq Thompson at safety IN THEORY could be awesome.

(I really don't think we're drafting Foster though.)

I'd love to have him or Zach Cunningham...

Not at #8, though...

Foster, at one time, would have been worth a top 10 pick. I don't think he did himself any favors with his incident at the Combine.

I could see him still landing in the top 10 somehow, but I'd say he's more in the range of 11-20, now.

So your hypothetical answer to questions about Luke's "head" is to replace him with a player shown to be even more prone to concussion while in college?

"University of Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster, for example, is a player considered as a top 10 talent in the upcoming draft. But he suffered at least two documented concussions with the Crimson Tide, in a 2016 game and in a scrimmage in 2014. AL.com also reported Foster suffered “stingers” outside of those concussions."

I've said before and I'll say it again, Foster is a great talent.  But if you've watched him play, he's a head-down tackler and that is what creates his concussion/stinger problems.
