A good childhood friend of mine turned down a full ride to duke to take a cheerleading scholarship at Clemson. Like, WTF??? I know both of your parents are Clemson alums, but... WTF???

Plus, she'd be hands down the hottest cheerleader to ever go to duke. By a long shot.

I got no reason not to believe him there.

And, in his partial defense, back in the day when I was young and rash and brash, I probably would have defended and made every excuse for my Auburn Tiger's players foolishness too.

My change in attitude over the years probably stems from mellowing with middle-approaching-old age and the fact that I expect more from representatives of the University that I've sent thousands and thousands of dollars too over the years (on top of the fact of paying a large part of putting the progeny through the university as well).

I fuging hate duke, but if they'd been offering me a full ride I would've fuging gone and just locked myself in my room and painted myself Carolina blue on game days.

I learned my lesson with Rashad McCants. Loved that guy at UNC, especially as a fellow western NC kid. Defended him through thick and thin. Then, it turned out that all the "haters" were 100% right.

To be fair, Duke cheerleaders are a joke.  They just stand there basically, and for the most part, look ugly.

Yeah it gets really wild. Was fun while I was in school...but it's a college town for the most part. I'm recently married and about 5-6 years removed from the college scene.
