The Next Head Coach

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Jeff Davidson

His work as an OC has had its good moments. It's also had it's bad ones. Throw in that Jerry Richardson prefers defensive head coaches. It's all he's ever hired. For that matter, I can't recall for certain if he's ever even interviewed an offensive-minded head coach candidate. That doesn't bode well for Davidson's chances.

What do you mean? He is as defensive as they come.

Last year he wasn't on the radar.

Trying to decide whether to update this thread or start a new one with an updated list.

(granted a lot of the names would be the same)

I vote a new one, that way things would be fresh and the post wouldn't be polluted with some of those year old troll posts. :P

Shocked not to see Harbaugh on the list.

Leslie Frazier for me, thanks.

Rob effin Ryan?

I like Rob Ryan a lot. While not as much as his brother, Rob Ryan is a sparkplug. He's very brash, arrogant, and loves to talk trash like his brother. I think he could bring something we haven't had in a long time, and that's swagger.

My short-list would be:

Russ Grimm (I'm the resident Russ Grimm fan, apparently. lol.)

Rob Ryan

Leslie Frazier

Bruce Arians

Mike Mularkey

EDIT - I'm also going to add in Mike Mularkey. I know this isn't a very sexy pick, and one a lot of people will criticize, but I think that Mularkey has the chance to be a very good coach, he has the Steelers mind-set, and his only coaching stint was with the Bills. So... :/

Its going to be very intersting next offseason.Just watch..But the more and more i think about it.I feel like it might be somebody from the steelers,Vikings,or greenbay to be our coach. And if you think about it those team are on top of the leader board in defense.Because thats who our coach might be.Most likely a defensive coordinator...
